Never again

Very slow service and food way too expensive for what you get. Portion of fish was very small and full of bones. We have had much better food at other restaurants during our 6 days in Venice.

dear Wetco03, I am truly sorry that your experience with your meal was not satsfactory. of course, not knowing when you had lunch (or dinner?) for us is very difficult to understand what happened exactly. what I can say is that usually people are quite happy about their meal, adding that should you be back in Venice for us it... This was a very busy restaurant when walking by earlier in the night so when returning back to our accommodation we decided to try it out. We were very lucky to get seated just before they stopped taking orders for food. Had a lovely simple pasta with tomato sauce and basil, followed by tiramisu. The meal was simple, well presented... The homemade pasta was delicious. The also have a few tables outside on the street in a very nice Venetian neighbourhood, away from the crowds. Service is quick and efficient. The restaurant is furnished in a cool and unusual art deco style. Not everyone's tast I assume, but I liked it.

We were walking by the restaurant. Stopped for a quick bite. The food is okay, but you can tell that the ingredients are v commercial. The balsamic and olive oil are average or below. The bresaola mozzarella salad was okay, but the mozzarella was bland / not tasty. I ordered the sea food soup for my main. I liked the... More

We were going to go to a Vivaldi concert nearby and were seeking a place for a light dinner within walking distance of the Accademia bridge. By good fortune we found this place as it just opened for the evening. Very trendy looking inside... some shiny metal on the steps down from street level. Had a spritz before dinner, and... More

Almost ate at another place down the street but the owner decided we didn't order enough and said he couldn't serve us. Aparently one appetizer for the group, an entree each and a drink each wasn't worth his time. But we lucked out and went here afterwards. Great food and prices! Wonderful patio seating and excellent service.

We had a nice meal at La Rivista, only a couple minute walk from our hotel in Dorsoduro. Ate at an outside table -- not far from the Accademia stop. Not an extensive selection on the menu, but easy to design a filling meal. The entrees were mainly seafood, but many other first/second choices. We shared a cheese ravioli, a... More

We dropped by for drinks one day and had excellent suggestions by the staff. We came for dinner the next night and met Sheila who was very professional at the bar and had excellent wine pairings with the tuna starter and the lasagna. The food was very good and the pairings better. I highly recommend this bar.

My wife and I were in Venice at the beginning of June. We happened to stop in this great little spot for lunch. It was a beautiful day and we sat outside. The food wine were excellent but what made it even better was the friendly, knowledgeable, professional service from our waiter Fabio Tonello. I would highly recommend dining here... More

While staying at the hotel Ca' Pisani -- which is wonderfully unique and superb -- our instinct has been to dine out. This evening a thunderstorm kept us in and La Rivista served us well. The food was as good or better than several other meals we've had in fancier and more expensive places and it was more creatively presented... More
