Yes, I'd read the reviews. I knew the Bellini's were €16.50 each. I knew we couldn't wear shorts, that the service would be unfriendly, that it was pokey, no atmosphere and cramped. But - it couldn't be that bad could it? It was. Four of us had dressed up a bit (jackets for the gents, cocktail dress for the lady).... More

Harry's bar could do with a makeover. Don't go just to say you've been and done it as it will cost you plenty for average drinks. Also, wear long trousers as you will be asked to leave.

If you choose to go to Harry's Bar then you are going to pay a lot! We sat at the bar and had a few bellinis as something from the bucket list. The staff were warm and welcoming and the drinks were lovely (at 16.50euro a pop they should be)! Men must be wearing long trousers at night.

It was hot, I was tired, so I went in and sat at a plain wood table . Sat on the left, got a drink menu, ordered a bellini ( of course), surprised by the tiny juice glass it came in. The menu mentioned sandwiches so I asked the waiter and he realized I was planning to have lunch, he... More

Going through the undersized front door, being met by the old school Italian waiter with a white dinner jacket and squeezing into the cramped ground floor restaurant, well on paper it is a nightmare but in reality it is like entering a silver screen American movie set. Here are two very good tips..... 1 - DONT wear shorts as they... More

Not at all glamorous to look at inside but staff are charming and it is the legendary Harry's Bar, so has to be done! Food wonderful but very expensive.

Harry was present and was a gracious welcoming host. The prices are high but the service is outstanding and the food excellent. Don't miss a visit. It is well worth it!

Visiting Harry’s Bar on St. Mark’s Place – Hemmingway’s old haunt - is a mixed blessing – but to enjoy its many virtues, you must be prepared for its one vice, the high prices. The location cannot be improved upon, tucked away on the edge of a canal just off St. Mark’s, with swirling mists and sea breezes at its... More

Dated, overpriced, stuffy waiting staff, not friendly at all. Tables and people squashed in. Don't both, worst value for money I have ever reviewed.

Stopped in for drinks just based on the name after a long day of walking around Venice. Drinks were OK, but as other post note rather expensive. Neat pictures throughout the bar and restaurant, but probably something just to check off the list.
