My son loves history so Harry's Bar was our first stop on our trip to see history in Italy. He knew about Hemingway history and I knew about Bellini. The Bellini was ridiculous - a really tiny glass for an outrageous price. We ate in some pretty nice restaurants on our two week trip and this was the most expensive.... More

When in Venice then a visit to Harry`s Bar for Bellini`s is a must , simply delicious , would have preferred the cocktail to be served in a larger glass because it went down too quickly , taste sublime !!!! pricey too 16.50 euro a glass put me off having a second . oh well it was worth the visit... This was on our list to visit since Ernest Hemingway indulged here. Obviously the prices were much better then. Way overpriced, overcrowded, and arrogant servers the day we finally found it. Nothing exciting at all. Went in, looked at the prices, took a picture for the record, and had wonderful drinks at a restaurant in St. Mark's Square for half... More

If you believe a 200ml juice glass Belini that costs €16 ($20USD) is value, this is a place for you! There is a great deal of history with the bar/location, but it ends there. The place was jammed full of sweaty fanny-pack wearing tourists in a tiny room drinking immensely over-priced micro-Belinis from indifferent waiters - although rather comical in... More

Harrys bar was mercifully free of people taking selfies at the bar with a Bellini in hand. Nothing has really changed over the years, tables are tiny and the original seating a little cramped as it was designed in the 50's for smaller people. Waiters attentive, risotto as good as it always is here and the Bellinis are sublime. You... More

Sure, it's crazy expensive! But we just had to do it again. Stopped in ten years ago when we were last in Venice after reading that it is a 'must-see', the birthplace of the bellini. Still just as over-priced as it was then. Bet Hemingway et al didn't pay these kinds of prices. But, when in ... er, Venice ...... More

I went to this place because my niece kept telling us that we could not leave Venice without going to this "famous" bar and have the drink " Bellini" . It was here that this drink was invented. The place is a big as a walking closet. Tables on top of each other. People will look at you up and... More

The original Harry's Bar. Packed busy when we went and, I gather, generally always busy. Most of the clientele are Americans seeking to follow in the footsteps of heros such as Hemingway. Apparently the birthplace of the Bellini cocktail. This still has the feel of a 1930s drinking establishment as opposed to a sophisticated cocktail bar - check the pictures... More

I was really looking forward to visiting Harry's Bar. Well ..... wish I had saved my time and money! We were told at 530 that there was a dress code at 6pm. Fine my husband was in shorts as it was 22 degrees outside we could just about live with that, however the atmosphere was non existent save for the... More

Longed to find this place for a while only to finally do so! It's tiny, cramped, completely lacking in atmosphere and with windows like a prison cell! The Bellini's LOOKED nice (although not even served in flutes) but the staff were so pretentious, unhelpful and generally rude, that I didn't hang about to find out how it tasted! Don't waste...
