We thought it would be a good idea to visit the birthplace of the bellini during our stay in Venice. It was mostly full of customers who appeared to be pretentious posers and add to that the rude staff who seemed to think themselves socially elevated by their place of employment. All of this and the ridiculous prices led us... More

As you have to get a Belline in Garry's bar when in Venice, we wanted to experience this legend. When we entered we already were very disappointed by the worn out look of the place. The smell was horrible and staff not very friendly. The drinks were very pricey and not special at all. I will definetely not be back!

We went to Harry's Bar for the obligatory Billini and then booked for dinner on our last night in Venice. Having searched out Hemmingway jaunts in Cuba and Key West, we were keen to experience the Venice connection and we were not disappointed. The bar is quaintly dated with an old school charm. The waiters were attentive and pleasant when... More

We were there for lunch and had the best meal all in all during our stay in Venise. 4 Bellini's, lunch with wine and desserts, around 100€ per person. if you go there for diner, the bill would obviously be higher than that. It is a jump in time, they a beautifull antic clock on the wall. The bartender will... More

You will be told, when in venice you HAVE TO visit Harry's Bar for a Bellini. Of course, if it is your first visit, then I can totally understand. However, be prepared for the awful experience. It should really be described as a Harry's Bar Baloney; it is over-priced and served by over-miserable waiters in an over-rated bar. It resembles... More

Don't let marketing or the romantic notion of past visitors fool you. This is one place you should avoid at all cost in an otherwise remarkable city. We arrived for a nightcap on Saturday night , March 22nd after having dinner elsewhere in Venice. We were rudely treated by the staff when we asked if they could provide space for... More

We wanted to be somewhere special on our first wedding anniversary at the time we got married. We chose Harry's Bar as it had good reviews and invented the Bellini. While the Bellini's are very nice the price isn't! 16 euros for a small Bellini is expensive but it's like going to Singapore and not having a Singapore Sling in... More

All been said in previous reviews so won't repeat them. The message is, or at least should be, clear. Over-priced bellini that did taste nice but for Euros18 it needed to be bigger and at least if it was adorned with all the trimmings of a Del Boy 80s cocktail, you could see where your money was spent! A somewhat... More

I'm always leery of a place that claims to have had famous regular patrons. Especially those from a bygone era. Like they're going to be sitting there when you arrive. I was interested in their signature drink, the Bellini, and thought since they claim to have invented it, and I literally was walking by the place, it should be worth... More

2nd ever visit to Harry's Bar and this time for a proper lunch on a special occasion. Fascinating to watch service and the food was stunningly prepared and presented. Definitely worth the experience again with a mix of businessmen, locals, tourists and those who just want to be seen there. A must visit and top notch dining.
