OK, Do It Once!

The birthplace of the Bellini was a must-see, but now that we've been there (at about USD$100 each round of 4 bellinis) and had a few, I don't see a real reason to return. We actually found a better and cheaper bellini at a neighboring hotel and stuck with that the rest of our visit.

Very expensive, which is no problem, but expensive with no service, utter rubbish, you've been warned, far better at similar prices, Florians, Gritti Pallace, Gande Caffe, all are expensive but they all have proper service for the price charged.

It is a must to just visit Harry's bar, but it is very cramped and very busy. All the food and drink is very expensive, but it is worth just going to take in the atmosphere and have a Bellini.

Expected it to be expensive (it was!) but hoped there would be a good atmosphere (there wasn't). Sadly full of tourists just like us who just wanted to go in for the experience.

When in Venice its a must do going to Harry's bar. It's everything everybody says about Harry's bar , it's expencive, no value for money BUT in my several visits to Venice I always visit Harry's bar. Bellini 22 euros for a very very small glass. Dinner was lovely BUT SOOO expensive, have to say I will be back this... More

There's a lot of hype about Harry's Bar, so we thought we should try it. It's not easy to find, at the far west end of the main quay, but one (very good) hot chocolate and one (very weak and overpriced) bellini later, we were just about glad to have had the experience, but won't rush back.

Always love coming here and sipping a Bellini, corny but lovely. Cuisine simple but fresh and seasonal. Go with a local or celeb to get the right treatment as the service can be snobby or brusque. Yes, its expensive for what it is but definitely a must. And expensive is always relative. Always packed so thete must be a reason.

Its a legendary place with incredible history and the food is good too. Don,t go to Venice and not experience the echos of patrons of the past!

Yes its expensive, yes the decor may seem plain by modern standards, there isn't a view but its classic like its cocktails. The Gin Fizz I had was fantastic, could only stay for a drink as it was full with diners, I would have liked to tried the food if the nibbles were anything to go by. Staff were very... More
