Overpriced, but who cares?

By the time you're in the haze of H.B's perect martini, you really couldn't care less about what the lengendary bar will charge you for the drinks and the extras. Repeat customers know what they're getting into, find it entertaining to watch as tourists in shorts are showed the way out again, and... read more

I visited Harry's Bar several times during my stay in Venice. It is a fairly small venue, the bar area downstairs is usually busy with Bellini and Martini drinkers. Upstairs is the restaurant (although you can also eat downstairs in the bar area) Of course, the Bellini's are amazing - they were christened here in 1948. The service is exceptional,... More

We popped into Harry's Bar to try their famous Bellini (it is the birthplace of the drink). The drink was very nice and the bar is a good place to relax, but be warned, it is VERY expensive!! This is probably due to its reputation but also its proximity to St Mark's Square.

My wife and I were celebrating her birthday and I decided we would have whatever we wanted - sod the expense. So Harrys Bar was chosen but compared to every other place we have been in Venice there is really no justification for the obscene prices and please note we were staying at the Danielli so are not averse to... Well with such a famous reputation but sadly it's living off the famous Bellini and nothing else. We had such high expectations but sadly left and found better places to eat and drink. Wouldn't recommend visiting.

We had never heard about Harrys Bar and werent aware of the history. We stumbled across it by chance and it was only because the elderly chap sat next to us kept being asked for his signature that we came more curious. On the evening we were there the bar was crammed. We had prosecco and the glasses were tiny... More

Great little Bar, great drinks!! Have a Bellini of course! Pricey but good, and food good too, small and quaint famous little place!

I was told it was a must to go to Harrys Bar. My advice is don't waste precious time in Venice looking for it. It is overpriced no atmosphere and rude staff. I have been in many prestigious bars and restaurants all over the world and this doesn't come close to them.

Hidden in plain view, a visit to this Venetian icon was the perfect end to a great vacation. Bellini's downstairs in the bar then the best meal we had in Venice upstairs in Cipriani's. Attentive & pleasant wait staff, great food & an unmatched view of the waterfront - this will be the first place we go to when we... More

We loved the Bellinis (even if they are a little small). Service was prompt, olives are free but really yummy! There is a dress code for men - no shorts allowed!
