Overpriced, but fun history. If you're lonely for Americans, you'll find them here...

We had to have a peach bellini in the bar where Hemingway hung out (even though, we understand he drank martinis...) We had delightful conversations with other travelers who knew they were getting soaked with the drinks prices and sipped s-l-o-w-l-y and talked much...

Harry's as was pointed out to us by our tour guide is one of the most famous hangouts in Venice. Kings, poets, famous authors, etc. have frequented Harry's for years and years. It was just fun to be there.

Allegedly a must in Venice. It is however very important to have a table downstairs, but then the gentlemen must have pants, no shorts. If seated upstairs the “outer” room is a must, preferably by the window. Service was okay, but nothing more. Food, well average at best.

We had to go to Harry's bar for Bellini's seeing as it is Venice and it's iconic. Staff were not very friendly and the Bellini's were ok, but not amazing. Wouldn't go back, but glad we experienced it.

Worst Bellini in Venice. Tasted much better all over Venice. Bar needs attention. Drab, tatty and no atmosphere. Existing on their name and high prices. Never again!

The waiters here could not have been kinder to my college-age daughter and her mother. We dropped in only intending to have a peek because we both love Hemingway, but they were so welcoming we decided to sit at a table and order drinks. The waiter talked to us about the place, and we even peeked upstairs where dinner is... More

Went there on advise of a friend; he was wrong. Overpriced by 300%. The famous ham and cheese was soggy and greasy and the drinks were way-too-expensive. Look in the door if you must, then move on. No worthwhile view either.

Justifiably famous, this small bar charges premium prices for its original concoction. Prepare to meet a fascinating crowd from all around the world. Though it closes by 11 PM, its a classic place to crown a memorable night in Venice.

Everyone said that we had to go to Harry's Bar, because it is a legend. Not sure it is worth the high prices, but sitting in the small little downstairs bar is a fun experience, watching the locals and tourists. Othwerwise, don't expect a view from the downstairs bar. I think the view upstairs is good. Food was very good... More
