Harry up!

Visited here in the spring, no menus on the table, should have known better but a few proseccos later.... . Two risotto and a bottle of house plonk for the cost of a months private health insurance with Aviglow vh-whatever. Yes, it is a very touristy place, but I couldn't help myself. The place is so well known with great history. I had to eat there, especially the carpacio. The food was not bad as we opted for the 3 course lunches. If you are in Venice, do yourself a favor, stop in and breath in the history and get... More

I've visited a few of the Cipriani branches and this was my favorite.Great location but be prepared for a hefty bill. In our opinion its well worth it and great for a lunch time treat. The Harry's menu was actually great value money it's 3 courses for 50 Euros this was recommended to us when we were there by Harry's... More

Lovely Venice, but Harry's bar was too expensive for what his a glorified side street cafe.Wont go back there in a hurry as I don't think the Bellini's was anything special.

Look, this is Harrys Bar in Venice. You're going to be ripped off. Anyone who thinks otherwise is a deluded fool, frankly. My advice is to just go along with your tourist head on and enjoy it. We found the service attentive and slick. The food was good if not fantastic. The Bellinis are worth steering clear of mind you.... More

Talk about resting on its laurels and ridiculous publicity the bar was obviously packed to capacity, the so called famous Bellini's were awful - not patch on the ones served at the Danieli Hotel. The restaurant upstairs where the tables are at a premium served inedible food which was returned with no apology and I had to demand it was... More

Unfortunately, I would only recommend going to Harry's Bar for one of two reasons: you LOVE Cipriani chain or you LOVE history. The place doesn't have charm and while the waiters are still dressed in white tuxedos, that is about all the glamour that this bar holds. The drinks are presented in cups vs classy cocktail glasses. The prices are... More

We are regular visitors to Venice and our first restaurant visit within Venice is always Harry's Bar. If this is your first visit, and you have soaked-up the history and romance of the place from countless books and articles, it will not be what you expected! It is small, over 2 floors, and is located at the end of a... More

I think that at this point that Harry's is just going off their reputation. It is really overpriced for what you get!!

I heard and read so much about Harry's Bar and the owner Arrigo Cipriani that I thought it is a must to go there. But what a disapointment! The waiter directed me in a row of other tourists and I felt as good as in a waiting lounge at a Railway Station. There was no glamour of the good old... More
