We stopped by this place for a drink twice while we were in Venice. The owner was cool and the atmosphere was very relaxed. Live Music. It was just nice. Good prices for the area.

For a glass of wine and a snack. Owner himself is right there, talking to everyone. Take a break, sit down, watch people pass by, and enjoy!

The best pizza in all Italy. Family style with good service and home style Italian cooking. The best part is that is reasonable in price.

We found Da Sandro's to be significantly changed with our fall-2013 visit. The pizza portion of the business across the street is closed and the seating area has shrunk - - as has the menu choices. Back in 2006 it was well worth the effort to get here, but I can't say that today. Food was good, but for us,... More

Da Sandro is a little bar-restaurant in the heart of the lively San Polo district. A few little round tables outside, a few little square tables inside. Sandro and his wife run it, by the time we got there he was a few sheets to the wind after a long hard day - it's a popular place - but we... More

A small family restaurant with inside seating for maybe a dozen people. The food is wholesome traditional Italian. You can see the chef preparing everything pretty much right in front of you, there is only a glass window between the restaurant and the kitchen. The meals came reasonably quickly, they looked good and tasted fantastic. A very inexpensive and thoroughly... More

We didn't eat there but the bar is perfectly located for a nightcap. During the day the street is too busy but our hotel was close and we went in for a last beer. At this time you can see people passing by and the streets are becoming more and more silent...

We had walked past this restaurant earlier in our visit and came back because they had pesto on the menu. The server was fairly inattentive, but was happy to help when we grabbed his attention. The clam spaghetti was stocked full of clams and was very enjoyable. The pesto was good for Venice (we had been to Cinque Terre earlier... More

We stumbled upon this place one afternoon whilst we were starving. Very simple place, service not particularly friendly but is functional. Just fancied a bit bowl of pasta which is what we got and this was all good

We ate here last night and loved it. We are foodie people, but like genuine, simple good food over fuss and posturing, and this spot really satisfied. The chef and barman who run the place aren't exactly attentive waitstaff, but the chef in particular was goodnatured and gracious. We had the special (fish stew) and pasta with onions and anchovies,... More
