Quite a disappointing experience. Walking back from long day of touring and just finishing dinner, I stopped by Fiaschetteria Toscana for after-dinner drinks and dessert. We were greeted by a sweet lady at the front, advised her that we were looking for drinks and dessert, and she showed us the menu. We were then seated, and greeted by a nice... More

We found the restaurant after being recommended, but well worth the trouble, the food and service were outstanding, but the expensive charges for drinks and water took the edge off such good food, glad we went but would probably try somewhere else next time.

We stumbled on this place in the last night of our Venice vacation, I wish we had found it before. Besides the annoying local habit of charging for an undesired 'starter' of bread and grissini (but they were only 3 euro, below others), the service was kinder i.e. less bored than other restaurants we had encountered. Maybe that's because the... More

We had the zucchini flowers with yogurt chive sauce (nice), parma ham and melon (great ham and melon), grilled squid with polenta (wasn't expecting black ink sauce but it was ok, grilled polenta was bland) and calf liver (ok, a bit too gamey). For dessert, we had the great cheese selection (yes, this is the name), which had 2 strange... More

The portion was ok with me but not enough for my boyfriend, the fish fillet was very small but tasty, pastas were great.

Surprisingly good -given its location on a touristic track- restaurant, serving delicious ventian food (do not get mistaken by the name) in pleasant, although not fancy, environment. Tables on a small plazzetta are especially pleasant and calm. Very nice menu, with few great items (spaghetti with anchovies, gnochetti with mushrooms, delicious fiori di zucca deep fried in light and crispy... More

I went here after reading some reviews that the food was good and costly, however I didn't mind the pricey part. We started off with a antipasto of prosciutto & for 5 people we got very little. My son ordered lamb & the waiter said there weren't many potatoes with the portion, so we ordered extra potatoes. My 2 other... More

My wife and I have been eating here over the last 25 years since we got a recommendation to go. When we booked our trip, we had the hotel make a reservation here. In conversation with the Concierge, we got the impression that this was not one of the favorite places, but we chose to go anyway. When we arrived,... More

We celebrated my father's 80th birthday here 10 years ago, and the meal was lovely, so last weekend -- blissfully in Venice again -- we went back. As good as before! We had clam risotto and a tomato salad, and both were as good as they could be. Fresh, intensely flavoured, and huge. For dessert I had a chicory parfait... More

The food here was fine, but our waiter, who seemed to be the senior one there, appeared to take a dislike to us immediately and proceeded to subtly get back at us for part of the evening. Admittedly we did arrive late - our flight into Venice was an hour late so we didn't get to the restaurant until 9.40pm,... More
