The best cocktails

I came here one night during my stay in Venice based on TA reviews, and it's fair to say it didn't disappoint. I have been dreaming about the Rossini cocktail ever since. A must go when in Venice.

It is my local place for breakfast . The quality is really constant. Very good Coffee ...one of the best in town and freshly baked pastries from a local place I do not go frequently for Cocktails etc but have been few times and quality again is very good, atmosphere is brilliant and prices are very good value for money!

Great atmosphere and excellent service. Good mix of tourist and local customers. We went here twice as it was not far from out hotel. Once we all got separately lost but met up at the caffe like homing pigeons.

This little cafe was just around the corner from our hotel Piccola Fenice. As the name indicates, it doesn't try to be authentic Venetian, but more international-style. We had good coffee and drinks for reasonable prices, plus complimentary snacks. The service was friendly and music good. They have a few tables outside and a few inside.

My wife and I called into the Cafe Brasilia late Saturday afternoon, it was a hot day, we sat inside and cooled down with a very large ice cold beer. Later we moved outside to a table and sat to watch the world go by for a few hours eating and drinking, watching the locals coming in and out for... More

Came for a coffee with my friend, the bartender refused to let us use the toilet and made us buy our drinks first, in fact he leaped across the room to prevent us, pretty funny to see I guess. Nothing is free in venice and this place was the pinnacle of that ideology. Furthermore, I was charged an extra euro... More

The staff was quite fluent in English and French, making ordering and paying very easy! We both had a tasty sandwich and an aperol spritz. Chips were offered for free. This cost us 16 euros - which is fine, considering the location. Would recommend for a quick snack and a drink!

Staying in San Marco

Neighborhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
