Friendly Staff, Reasonable Prices

My wife and I stopped in here for coffee and a bite to eat for breakfast. The staff was welcoming and friendly and patient with us as we decided what we wanted to eat. Their prices were reasonable (not the most expensive, but not the least either) for what we had. I'd go back again if I were there.

Stumbled on this small cafe on a walk around Venice. For being in such a good location it remains quiet. The staff are friendly and attentive. Drinks are good and come quickly and the food looks decent (didn't have any however as we were only in for a drink). Worth a visit of you like a quiet beer/wine or coffee.

We stopped here for a morning (early afternoon) snack and a drink. We had two sandwiches and two drinks - an espresso and a cappuccino. The food was average and the drinks were a bit above average. Service was very good, staff were very friendly.

We've been here 2 nights so far and head here whenever we can. Genuine bar staffed by lovely genuine people. Feels like a safe haven from the tourist trap where you can easily be robbed of 50 euros without blinking, (Bacaro Jazz, + Bonchef). Nice to see the locals congregate here after work. Great cocktails and local wines. We feel... More

Stopped by for drinks before dinner. Friendly staff, drinks cold, all OK without blowing us away. Prices reasonable. 2 beers, 1 Spritz, 3 Lemon Soda = Euros30

As someone who has recently been forced to swear off cow's milk, I am thrilled that this cafe, just downstairs from the apartment at which we are staying, makes a DELICIOUS soy milk cappuccino. The proprietor and staff are also very friendly. Thanks for my long-lost caffeine buzz, as I've had to be drinking tea while traveling!

We were walking through the many streets and alleys of Venice and decided we needed a cup of coffee. We stopped in at this cafe and it turned out to be just what we were looking for..friendly services lots of choices for coffee. It was a nice touch on a pleasant walk.

I went to this café to drink a wine with my wife, was very cozy and the employees were very attentive. The only thing i didnt like, was the prices, that even for venice they where a little higth. But despite that, its a nice place to go.

Searching for best restaurants last night, I noticed the positive reviews of this cafe. By chance, we caught a glimpse of it today as we were looking for a mid-afternoon snack. The staff is very friendly and earnest, and I appreciate that they didn't feel compelled to speak English for us. All of their customers seemed to be locals or... More

Staying in San Marco

Neighborhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
