Fresh pasta with great experience

10 minutes walk away from Piazza San Marco and we found this nice eatery serving fresh pasta with friendly services. We had Pesto with fusilli and Formaggi with linguini. Dal Moro is a unique experience in Venice! Various types of pasta dishes 'to go' only! Very reasonable prices and served in a 'to go' box. Think Chinese take out. The owner's father is precious and is the counter guy most days. Pasta is super fresh as they make it right in front of you. :)

You should definitely go here. It's got a soup nazi of pasta feel to it but they people are friendly. At 5-9 euro the value is extremely good. the food is good but not five stars. Well worth it. Marinara was very good four cheese was meh.

We stopped in for a bite on the run and the pasta was so fresh, made from seasonal ingredients and incredibly tasty!

My husband and I loved what we ordered. Pasta with pesto and the other with bolognese. Our boys were harder to please. They said the four cheese pasta had too much cheese. If you're looking for a more affordable dining option, come here. It wasn't that hard to find. Everyone was really friendly. It's a small hole in the wall... More

This is fast food par excellence. If there were Michelin stars for pasta hot spots Dal Moro's would be 2 star!! As they say in the Michelin Guide "Worth a detour ". It was raining when we visited ( twice because it is very good) both times we were given a great welcome and the 4 cheese sauce and fresh pasta... More

Amongst the hundreds of tourist trap restaurants, this is little takeaway shop is a hidden gem. Slightly difficult to find at first (as are many things amongst the maze of Venetian alleys and canals), but as we got closer there was a tell-tale trail of happy customers sitting sitting on stairs and ledges with their boxes of freshly-made pasta. Service... More

Thank you reviewers on trip advisor for rating this well! My sister, husband and I were in search of a cheap fast carb fix after walking around Venice all morning. We were getting tired of having to go to a sit down restaurant to eat all the time and wanted something fast so we could continue our sightseeing. This place... More

Staying in Castello

Neighborhood Profile
Castello
Castello is the largest of the six sestieri (districts), and the only one not facing onto the Grand Canal. More than half of Castello is situated within Arsenale, the naval base, which occupies over one-fifth the area of Venice. This gentrified maritime neighborhood feels busy but casual. Castello’s side streets are laid back, with small boats lining canals criss-crossed by laundry. Semiannual exhibitions add a strong artsy current to the Arsenale area. Via Garibaldi in Castello, with its shops and bars, has one of Venice's rare straight and wide boulevards. When a large ship turns around the Lido to enter the Giudecca Canal, the startling sight creates an illusion that it will run aground right on Via Garibaldi! Families treasure Giardini near the island's tip, green with rare trees and grass, and Riva degli Schiavoni is a popular spot for Venetians to take a stroll to watch the sunset.
