The ice were very good. But I thought they were a little bit expensive. The local is small but perfect to take away

The gelato is more than good. The variety is so big, and the quality is just excellent. Lots of unusual taste, but you can find the regular flavors also. I have tried a special chocolate with nuts a layer of salty pistachio cream. It was amazing.

This salvaged a bad dinner earlier in the evening. We were just passing by and it looked good. In fact it was outstanding! We will be back tomorrow :)

Maybe that's the best ice cream in Venice, but that's far from the best ice cream in Italy. Tried four of their flavors. The only interesting one was the salted pistachio. Otherwise, I'm sorry to say that the taste was quite average.

We had gelato in many places in Venice but this one was one of the better ones. Wide range of flavors and all were pretty good.

We visited twice when we were in Venice. Both times it was delicious. The pistachio flavors were great (pistachio and gianduia with salted pistachio). There was a also a special christmas flavor which was nice - panettone. Recommended!

Suso has been well known for their gelato. We tried the tiramisu flavor and was surprised by how good it was. The first taste was alright but it got better as we kept eating. Kind of like an acquired flavor. Nevertheless it was really good! Recommended :)

Staying in San Marco

Neighborhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
