Incredible ice cream. Flavors I hadn't seen in any other place. You should try green apple ice cream and chocolate ice cream.

I tried the gelato at il Doge after having tasted quite a few and honestly there was no comparison. You can really taste the quality and the freshness of the ice cream. The flavours are incredible, I especially enjoyed the chocolate with chillies.

This place was hard to find! No brass band to guide you there but there should be. I had the flagship, " Il Doge" gelato. It was the best gelato of my life. I ate enough of it and took enough notes I am confident I can make it at home. Or at least die trying.

We recently returned from a two week trip in Italy...where we managed to eat gelato EVERY SINGLE DAY. Sometimes twice because that's how we roll. Il Doge turned out to be our favorite in Venice (and we tried a few). Fresh ingredients, great flavor, creamy texture - very high end. My kids still talk about this one. I did my... More

We tried a few gelato's whilst in Venice but this was to die for. A great selection, so much so that it was difficult to choose. Definitely worth a visit!

This was the best gelato I had in Venice. It is just around the corner from the over hyped GROM gelato store. Mint flavor is epic I'd recommend walking straight on past grom and getting your sweet treat from il doge

After extensive research by my daughter and myself to find the best gelato in Venice. We both agreed it was here.A great selection and the tastiest gelato. They were very helpful and gave us lots of advice. And it is a funky Campo. Can't wait to go back.

perfect gelato. We took a gelato pit stop every day and only went to this establishment. The caffe (coffee) flavor was my favorite. Do try to stop here for the best gelato in Venice. And while in the area walk through Campo Santa Margherita. And if you need some coffee or a Spritz stop at Ai Artisti at the nearby... More
