Lovely coffee stop

The smell alone of this shop is to die for, not much seating but a really lovely coffee and you can purchase it very cheaply also. Really quirky little place for a quick coffee with the locals

Hand's down the best coffee I've found in Venice! Worth a walk from the other side the island for coffee aficionados.

Cute little coffee shop with no seats. It seems to be the norm for small cafes to stand and drink or eat. The cappuccino was great, unlike how the usual milk coffee tastes in Italy. It is a very smooth roast done that is roasted in house before your eyes. Would definitely recommend.

Nothing I'll remember, I am not a expert in the field of espressos so I could have probably had a espresso at any other place with a good espresso machine and enjoyed it as much. I believe that the high rating here at tripadvisor probably made me a little disappointed.

Very nice place ( even if it is not possible to sit). Great coffee and cappuccino at a very decent price

An assortment of coffee beans to choose from and ground to your request. Also you can drink your espresso at the bar here. I found they also sold chocolate and coffee flavored pasta.

Quality Arabicas roasted on premises and carefully prepared, be sure to take some beans home. The staff are friendly and quite knowledgeable. The roast master Jessica does a superb job on a vintage machine right in the shop. Simply charming. Must visit for any coffee aficionado visiting Venice!

I finally was able to stop by here and taste the espresso that everyone on TA has been raving about. The coffee was great as expected and the staff was very friendly. I ended up taking some whole beans to go. I appreciated that for the beans to go, the prices were broken down "per etto" so you would have... More

The coffee is good, the place has an amazing coffee smell, but the staff is not particularly friendly and make the place much less interesting than it could be. If you need a quick coffee, it's ok. If you want a bit more of an experience, walk a few blocks to Cafe Filermo.

We will be dreaming of this coffee shop for years. The coffee is roasted in-house and dished out in a business-like way. The espresso is perfect... and the price? .90 Euros!!!! Our favorite time to arrive is as early as possible. We each ordered a cappuccino and a chocolate brioche and savored it right at the counter. Our bill was... More

Staying in Cannaregio

Neighborhood Profile
Cannaregio
Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district) with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution, 2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby shops on the Lista di Spagna offer specialties like pastries and coffee that lure Venetians with a down-to-earth attitude. The Ghetto, where the Jewish population was segregated in Cannaregio, has five historic synagogues with an active Jewish community. The Fondamente Nove bustles with foot traffic to the Rialto and San Marco while vaporettos (water taxis) head to Murano and other islands. Side streets lead into quiet picturesque neighborhoods and palaces like Ca' d'Oro rise directly out of the water.
