Must be good

This must be the best coffee bar in Venice as it was impossible, on three attempts, to get in! It seemed to be permanently heaving with customers - not surprising given the delicious smell of roasting coffee coming from it.

I love this place truly. The coffee is so good and the staff really friendly. It is a traditional Venician coffee shop meaning you drink standing up as there is no seating and it is a little crowded but once you taste the coffee you don't mind in the slightest. The moretti (not sure if I spelt that right) was... More

Small and busy little shop in a cool neighborhood away from the inner Venice madness . Wide variety of coffee to choose from. Must stop by if you're in the area !

We were lucky to stay across the square. We came by here everyday after being introduced by our apartment host who claimed that this place is his favorite coffee place in Venice. At the end of our Venice trip, we bought few packets of coffee bean as souvenirs and are currently enjoying every sip of coffee. Our only regret is... More

After walking for hours on our first full day in Venice I definitely needed a caffeine kick. I got drawn into this lovely place by its smell, it was delicious...with its classic look and modern twists It looked great. 100% the best Espresso I've ever had! Definitely going to go back for more.

This is a great little coffee bar, the smell of fresh roasted coffee beans is incredible and the coffee is the best I have had anywhere. I brought home a bag of café reme which is the regualar coffee they serve, it's a really smooth delicious blend - I'm back in Venice next month so will be going back to... More

On a bustling street in Venezia, the coffee counter is busy but there's a good flow, allowing everyone apace at the counter within a few moments. We had amazing lattes done right. Highly recommend for a coffee and pastry break!

This was the best coffee I had in Italy. it was a great little coffee shop that was a hive of activity first thing in the morning. Two Latte's and Two big croissants was 5 Euro's, which is great value considering how good it tasted. A must visit!

This was our second time to Venice and I must have had 30 different shots, but at 0.9 Euro per shot this is by far the best tasting and reasonably priced shot in Venice. Go here! Trust me. Multo bene! Ciao Tony

Staying in Cannaregio

Neighborhood Profile
Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district) with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution, 2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby shops on the Lista di Spagna offer specialties like pastries and coffee that lure Venetians with a down-to-earth attitude. The Ghetto, where the Jewish population was segregated in Cannaregio, has five historic synagogues with an active Jewish community. The Fondamente Nove bustles with foot traffic to the Rialto and San Marco while vaporettos (water taxis) head to Murano and other islands. Side streets lead into quiet picturesque neighborhoods and palaces like Ca' d'Oro rise directly out of the water.
