with venice being over run by tourists, its almost inevitable that the city's restaurants become tourist traps rather than stay true to their unique theme or identity. Venice was plagued with restaurants that wanted you in and out as fast as possible with tasteless food served at blistering speed and with no thought. So when i came across this little... More

We enjoyed our simple and refreshing lunch in this little gem tucked away in the market behind the Rialto bridge.

Great cicchetti plate with great variety. Fish platter (Venetian special) was fresh and tasty. Price is very reasonable compare to most tourists oriented restaurants. Service was amazing. We had a lovely time. Strongly suggest for a reservation as this place fills up fast around 8!!

A stop near the Rialto where we sampled local Burano biscuits and a sweet desert wine. As in the other Osteria we visited in our time in Venice the staff were friendly, helpful and keen to make sure you enjoyed the experience. We drank outside as they were setting up for lunch so didn't get a chance to experience the... More

This was last place we went for our Cichetti, wine tasting exploration. We enjoyed all our little tastes of both. Perfect place to see and be with the locals. Few tourists, although crowded with locals the staff was accomodating and friendly. We never felt rushed.

Our family ate here after we tried this while on a food wine tour. We were over charged for our dinner and although we ordered a 1/2 carafe of house wine were given a bottle of what our server decided to give us. We learned fast while traveling during holidays in Italy this happens but after chatting with these folks... More

Just happened on to this little spot near the fish market. Wonderful house wine and great selection of little cichetti made a perfect lunch.

This was a little tricky to find from the tripadvisor map, but we persevered and were rewarded with a pretty decent meal. Well kind of. I like to try the local specialties, so I ordered baccalà Mantecato. Dried, cream salt cod. Yeah, it tasted how it sounds. Kind of weird. But my husband and son both had the lasagne which... More

When we arrived a little past 7:30, the place was packed and we had to eat outside. To be fair, this was third on a series of places we visited that evening for wine and bites and perhaps this was why it was least memorable. I like that they offer a broader menu and are located very conveniently by the... More

We had a really nice meal here tonight. It's a tiny place with only a few tables but we were lucky. Had pasta with gorgonzola and partner had lasagne. Also tried the liver. All terrific. Finished with tiramisu which was up there with the best ever. Nice service and wines too.
