Had a great lunch here, the food was freshly cooked, inexpensive and tasted excellent. Lets be clear this is not a fine dining restaurant, I would describe it as rustic; when we were there it was being frequented by local Italian blue collar workers which is always a good sign. When we go back to Venice we will go back... More

We read about this restaurant on Trip Advisor. It was only a 5 minute walk from our Hotel Canal Grande. It is a small place but has a pleasant courtyard. My wife had an octopus salad to start, I had the grilled calamari, both were good. Then my wife had a salad and they didn’t complain we were not ordering... More

We had a lovely meal here on our three night stay in Venice. We had the insalata mista and two pastas. My boyfriend had the pasta with mushrooms I believe and I had the tagliattele with scallops. Very fresh and yummy. Very reasonable too and also got some free Limoncello at the end!

We wandered upon Alla Ferrata because we had just gotten off the vaporetta at the railway station stop on the Grand Canal, crossed the Ponte deli Scalzi (one of the few bridges over the Grand Canal) and were tired and starving. I stopped a local to ask where was a good place to have lunch. "Alla Ferrata" A few twisting... More

Walking through the bustle of Venice you really need to find a quiet hideaway. Arrived at 14:45, time for them to close - but as friendly as could be. Wine, pizza and a insalata tonno shared with my beautiful wife. Friendly. Excellent and extremely reasonable prices. Recommend!!

For our last evening we looked for something close at hand, and tried this restaurant with a very ordinary outside - but how deceiving! The garden through the alley is big enough for about forty people! We had the menu de journal three courses, except we did not last the full three. Don't go here with less than your A... More

The overall prices were a bit touristy, but that is okay considering this is Venice. The spaghetti aglio olio I ordered for my primo came out completely over-boiled. My secondi, what should have been the sliced beef you would normally imagine, came out more like a thin steak I had to cut. Both tasted like the typical UK pasta and... More

While we understand that you will not get top top service in Venice as easy as you should, this place was hard to be at. First it took a while (and I mean really a while to get water on the table) The server who was responsible for us, was fighting the mosquitos so she really was focused on solving... More

A cozy ambient in a backyard terrace. The food looks incredible and tastes even better. One can tell that it is carefully and freshly made. The service is very good. It's "mandatory" to finish the meal with the chocolate cake with mascarpone.
