Description: Right in the heart of Venice, between Santa Lucia train station and the Rialto Bridge, and just a few steps away from the Casino, you will find a restaurant where we have translated our welcoming philosophy into a concrete culinary experience: "La Colombina". There are numberless reasons to visit and revisit Venice, but now you can add one more: "La Colombina", a gastronomic experience inspired by tradition but also focused on contemporaneity. In short, a new "classic" ranging from traditional Venetian dishes to unique gourmet temptations going from aperitifs to lunches and special occasions. How to reach us: It's incredibly simple! From Piazzale Roma or the Santa Lucia train station follow the main street (Strada Nova) towards Ponte di Rialto (take a left when exiting the train station). In the "calle" (small street) just in front of the "Teatro Italia" you will find La Colombina. We are only 10 minutes away from the central station, just a few steps from the Casino and 10 minutes from the Rialto Bridge. La Colombina is also conveniently adjacent to a "Vaporetto" stop (San Marcuola, Linea 1) and is centrally located and ideally very close to Venice's main attractions.

This hotel took a little looking to find as the streets of Venice are narrow and winding, but once we did, it was worth the search. Located on the same canal as the Bridge of Sighs, we had a view to that bridge from our hotel room. Staff were warm, friendly and helpful. Our room was large and well-appointed. Would... More

The tapas are really nice. The sea bass is a real treasure that you should not miss. Tender and soft and fresh. Clams are juicy as well on spaghetti!

This was our best meal in Venice, easily. We didn't make a reservation, but were able to get a table. While small, the dining room didn't feel cluttered and the tables felt private. For those that mention the TV looping an ad for the restaurant, we agree this was out of place. It's normal to see a TV in an... More

This is a great little find and not too expensive in a very expensive city! We booked a reservation and were greeted by the mother and chef (owner/son) and we had wonderful meal. We too came at end of the night and didnt have a bad experience (response to person who stated about weird experience and you have to ASK... More

A warm welcome on what was a chilly night, this was one of our finds in Venice. Obviously frequented by locals, the seafood was excellent, the wine very good. Go there.

We tried the tasting menu during November and overall the food was very enjoyable with very good wines that complimented the courses (1 glass of proscecco and 2 glasses of white wine). The multiple small tasters to start were excellent and offered some great flavours of Italy, in particular the swordfish and shrimp stood out. Whilst the menu lacks the... More

We went here because of this restaurant's high rating on TripAdvisor. The food was in fact very good; we were not disappointed by the tasting menu. The dishes were well-executed and tasted delicious, except for my spouse's under-cooked scampi, which was leaking blue blood. He decided not to say anything about it, so that's on us, and mine was totally... More

We went to this place because of all of the great reviews about the quality of their food. And for sure this place is not a tourist trap. The restaurant itself is well situated very close to the main path along the island. The restaurant itself is comfortable and modern. The service was impeccable. The good: We tried the tasting... This restaurant whilst using many of the famous local ingredients tries to give them a bit of a twist. Unfortunately for me these didnt really work and some dishes lacked flavour, however i drank a great bottle of wine and the room setting is well spaced and nicely laid out .
