So much of Venice is style over substance or cheap food sold expensively. This trattoria in Burano seems to be the real deal. We had the risotto di Go - a local fish. Admittedly it doesn't look too exciting when the plate turns up. The fancy squiggles of olive oil and balsamic on the side of the plate can't really... More

What's not to like? Ok, it's a wee bit of a trek to get out to Burano but it is worth a visit - even if it's only an excuse to spend an hour out on the water getting there, having a cracking lunch and then heading back to Venice. This is a friendly restaurant and like most of the... More

The seafood risotto was rice cooked in seafood broth - not a piece of seafood to be seen, which was disappointing. The Japanese people on the next table queried it too. It tasted okay, but I would have expected more in it. The overall price was reasonable for Burano - but the extras did seem to add more than I... More

Our hotel told us the best seafood in Venice would be in Burano and he did not disappoint. My husband and I were walking down the main square looking for potential places to eat and in the end we choose this place for the family feel. We ordered the risotto di nero seppia (a specialty in Venice), we were at... More

This family run restaurant is excellent value for money. The service was friendly, efficient and had an eye to customer needs. Mum and Dad, assisted by three daughters and a niece, were exceptionally helpful to all customers and patient with some who were difficult. The food was simple, tasty and honest. The price was fair and on Burano, that's not... More

This is a family run restaurant with a wide menu specialising in fish. The "Tourist Menu" is excellent value and offers a wide range of items at an all inclusive price. That is to include cover charge, service water and wine. What more could you ask? Staff were friendly, efficient and attentive making our lunch for 4 a great occasion... More

We had a wonderful lunch of local seafood with excellent service and a reasonably priced local wine. However, we sat inside at the back at the restaurant and ordered off the "local" menu. Sitting outside the tourist menu is considerably dearer and the range of food is not as good. This is a seafood restaurant, so if you order pasta... More
