Nice little bar

Was recommended to visit here by friends. It is tucked away in a very small walkway off the main shopping drag - but we found it quite easily! We just had a drink and a snack of a couple of rolls which were really tasty - others were having full meals - the main seating area at the back was... read more

Stopped in here for a few drinks and loved it. Bartender was awesome and the sordi and all in paninis were fantastic. Much better than the touristy places in the surrounding area and reasonable prices.

A nice pub to have a drink in but I wouldn't have a meal there. Not that the quality of food is lacking ,but the place was so packed at lunch (and quite possibly in the evenings), it took ages for the food to arrive from the kitchen. People seemed quite happy with their burgers and sandwiches and lasagnas an... More

Great bar if you are looking to escape cafe bars. Friendly staff. Cheaper prices and a relaxing atmosphere. Visited it twice and would visit again. Also serves food.

Welcoming staff, friendly customers, very fresh beer (Kilkenny was sweet like milk) and a good house wine. MTV Classics or football at the TV... I think I want to stay here...

After being in Italy for almost a week, we were ready for a break from pasta and pizza. This was perfect! We were really craving a burger and we left very satisfied! The fries are delicious too. It's reasonably priced especially compared to the rest of Venice. It's a bit hidden so we were able to escape the tourist crowds... More

Stopped by mid afternoon for a quick drink whilst wandering round Venice because the pub looked busy and the prices were reasonable. The atmosphere was great mainly because of the lovely staff and the prosecco went down a treat. We enjoyed it so much we went back at night and weren't disappointed. Very lively and busy but in a really... More

Just when walking around in Venezia it was first the name of the pub that I recognized, but then the place itself looked nice and fun. The service was friendly and they were playing good and fun music (not a common top 10 choice, but something I did not know before, which was great). I enjoyded the athmosphere, and my... More

Cold beer and football on TV. We didn't eat there since we have enough average food in the UK. Looked like burgers and fries. Not really Italian fare.

Visited to watch football. House wine is 2 euro 50. Dry martini and lemonade was 7 euro - but the day before it was 5. Quite a few locals in watching the Italian match. They can show 3 games at once.

Staying in San Marco

Neighborhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
