A gem in Mestre

Rather than venture back into Venice after a long day of walking, we decided to try this place close to our hotel after reading about it on trip adviser. And we were very pleased that we did! This Trattoria is superb! The owners are extremely friendly and helpful and certainly speak English very well......well enough that we didn't have any issues at all. The food was to die for! Everything was freshly prepared and tasted sublime! We found the prices for what we had quite reasonable. You can choose as much or as little as you like.... More

We decided after a week of pizza and pasta, very nice though it was to push the boat out. We had a three course meal with wine for my wife and it was great, excellent food, friendly attentive but unobtrusive service the only problem was overrating because the food was so good. It's not cheat for Mestre but €70 for... More

we were on a business trip to venice and found out this trattoria on tripadvisor. though it is located on a quiet residential street of mestre, they offer great food with good attitudes and hospitality. should try "pesce".

We found this wonderful little place having arrived in Venice during a severe thunderstorm. Traffic was of course ridiculous with the storm so we opted to eat in Mestre, just across the bridge. Incredibly fresh fish! And their home made pasta was to die for. The service was second to none. A relaxed feel but the sommelier was definitely in... More

Italy has a reputation for great food. Finding it is another story. After a couple days of being underwhelmed and overcharged, my girlfriend and I searched TripAdvisor. Based on the location (near the center of Mestre) and strong reviews, we decided to try Dai Fioi (http://trattoriadaifioi.com/) The reviews were spot on. Everything was fresh, perfectly cooked, and served by the... More

My daughter and I were walking around Mestre looking for a pizzeria we had been told about but couldn't find it so when we passed Trattoria dai Fioi we decided to give it a try. The waiter was extremely nice and we went with his recommendations for our dishes. Everything was excellent! Everything tasted very fresh and was cooked perfectly.... More

the Dai fioi in Mestre is worth seeking out as the food is well cooked, with a large range of specials. From talking with the waiter you can sample a range of wines with each course at around 3 euros per glass, which is interesting and good value.

This place is worth the trip. Our hotel was in Mestre, so it was not too bad for us, but it is worth the bus trip from Venice. The food is good and great value. We let the staff choose the wine to partner the food, which i was a bit wary of, but we were not disappointed, nor ripped... More

We went to this restaurant after reading the good reviews it has received here, and we were not disappointed. The waiter was extremely helpful and explained each dish, in English, with an amiable and easygoing manner. Though the menu was not extensive, the food was of a very high standard. The general atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. As for value... More
