Desperate for a coffee and a bite to eat after a busy morning when we stumbled on this great find on Calle Fiubera near St Marc's Sq. Busy with locals nipping in for a coffee and cake, or a quick sandwich. Also do a selection of rice and pasta dishes. Two tasty sandwiches and two coffees €12, dish of really... More

Popped in here 2 or 3 times when we were getting lost in the streets around Venice. Always happy to find it for a coffee and a treat. Lovely range of treats, lots of space and a nice atmosphere. Make sure you try one of the Fritella Zabione - Delightful!

Provides a good selection of filled sandwiches, salads, pastas, pastries and more; and of course, great coffee. Service is quick and prices are good. It is clearly frequented by local Venetians and is well worth the short walk from St.Mark's square away from the tourist traps.

And capucinni! And serves delicious pastry. The small almond tart was the best I have ever tasted and this was not even Paris.

Rosa Salva is a bakery or pasticceria, but don't let that title fool you. They serve small meals too including quiche, salads, pasta, and sandwiches. Don't you dare leave without trying a pastry! They are fabulous- I've been back three times this visit to Venice and have tried a variety of tasty treats- all of them delicious. I took a... More

Yes, there will be an equal quotient of locals versus stanieri, but still this is THE place to grab a pastry, gelato, sandwich or just a cuppa joe. Of the 3 locales, the one in Castello is by far the best. By that, I mean most authentic, most likely to have you surrounded by elderly local women, kids playing atop... More

A coffee bar "to die for". Also gift tins and coffees. Beautiful pastries. The ideal Venetian experience. Easy to miss if just walking through the piazza--but you'll be glad you found it.

Stopped in here not knowing its reputation and the cakes were delicious! We didn't eat inside, but took our cakes away and loved them. Highly recommended.

Our hotel stay didn't include breakfast in our room rate, and we weren't about to pay 25 euros per person per day ($132 for a family of 4) to eat breakfast, so we went looking for Rosa Salvo and ate here every morning during our stay. The cappuccinos were delicious, as were the warm cream- and almond-croissants and apple-filled pastry.... More
