Nice little place

Bit off the beaten track but a very nice little eatery. Bit pricey but worth a visit. the service was ok but could take a while if very busy. Looks like a family run place

This restaurant is set back off the main street so you need to look for it. You will not be disappointed as the food is fantastic, some of the best you could ever hope to be served. The fish was particularly brilliant (Tuna, Swordfish, Bream etc). Went back several times and could have only gone to this place it was... More

We spent two weeks in Rome, Venice and Greece. We wanted our last dinner to be out of the park awesome. It truly was. The recommendation was made by our hotel. They made a reservation for us and we arrived a few minutes prior to the opening. We were the first guests there and it gave an opportunity to walk... More

They say you can't find great food in Venice well Al Cantinon is proof that THEY are wrong. We had no idea what a fantastic meal we were going to receive. Our waiter was very helpful with meal and wine choices. I ordered the eggplant parmigiana and this amazing white fish baked in parchment. I am still thinking about them... More

With so many to choose from it was fun to stumble upon this small but excellent restaurant beside a quiet canal in a quieter part of this lovely city. The staff provided a thoroughly warm and efficient welcome and the excellent menu delivered a lovely meal for much less that the cost of similar restaurants closer to St Mark's square.... More

This restaurant is in an ideal location, on a canal but off the busy calle, and the food and service were terrific. Our waitress, Camille, is the daughter in the family who owns the place. She was warm, welcoming and fun. The setting is lovely, the food was delicious and the service was great. If we lived in Venice, this... More

We stumbled upon this place by chance and what a find it was. Set off the Main Street alongside a small canal with some beautiful lighting for outside diners. We hadn't booked (on a sat night) but the staff were more than accommodating and managed to find us a table. I am so glad we found this restaurant as the... More

On our first night in Venice, our hotel made this reservation. Within walking distance of the Boscolo Venezia, we arrived at opening and were seated inside, overlooking the canal. The menu was described with passion by our waitress, although it took her a few minutes to find us. My husband had two appetizers - one of them a seafood tartare... More

We enjoyed our first dinner in Venice with outdoor seating. We had a reservation. We had the eggplant appetizer, gnocchi with pistachio, and pasta with shrimp. The eggplant was delicious. There is a cover charge here.

Situated on a quiet canal, a lovely setting for an evening meal. There are few tables outside so go early if you want one. Inside seemed full of locals which is the best endorsement. We had very a very good, very filling meal of fresh fish and local wine.
