We ate here after a horrible and expensive meal elsewhere earlier in our trip. This place renewed our faith in great food and service. Very friendly and relaxed, we had the caprese and then seafood spaghetti and lobster paccheri. Really great food and a lovely atmosphere. Good wine and good value. Would definitely recommend.

My wife & I had dinner at this restaurant on 6 October 2014. It seemed like a good choice since it was recommended & it was near our hotel in Venice. Frankly I was disappointed in the overall experience. The service was so slow that it ruined my meal. We sat for 45 minutes just waiting for a simple appetizer.... More

We were walking on a dark evening towards a particular restaurant, when the weather turned threatening. So we deiced to just drop into Osteria al Pozzo Roverso, after looking at the menu. Soon the downpour led to everyone seated outside to join us inside, adding to the lively atmosphere. We were treated to one of the best moules mariniere we’ve... More

After visiting many restaurants from the fancy to the 'normal', this place offered the best food on our trip. It's always a good sign when the waiter says "we'll make you whatever pasta you want!" A great place, great food and the best staff. You have to go!!!!

Beautiful little square. Off the tourist track but close enough to be worth it. Good was great. Gnocchi with crab and the limoncello torte were great.

We were looking for a place to eat at lunch time after have been around St Marks and the museums but didn't want to get ripped off being close to the square. Anyhow we came across this place in a small square only 5 minutes away. It looked like a haven for tired and weary travellers with a table already... More

We were brought here by our local contact (Dr. Alvise Zanchi, who is also a tourist guide in Venice) because it is one of his favourite lunch/dinner places. Always listen to the locals the said. And so we did. We were here for dinner and most of us had the "menu del giorno" (menu of the day) for 18€. I... More

If it is possible to have a non tourist trap dinning experience near San Marco this is it. It was recommended by out hotel desk to is. Our hotel said u won't need a reservation which was suspicious to us. We were given free apartiefs and post meal desserts and liquor. Friendly staff but not chatty. We saw lots of... More

Have eaten here a few times , always in the little courtyard in the back . Food always good , portions quite big, we ordered too much this last time , we almost needed another table :-) but slowly slowly we got through it all. I always eat here when I want home style cooking, not fancy food. I had... More

Found this small osteria just around corner from our boutique hotel (Casa Verardo- separate review) and found the place to be fun and great food stop every evening. A few sidewalk tables with good selection of wines and beers. Food was good and reasonable, especially for Venice which tends to be over the top price wise. We usually stopped there... More
