Perfect Lunch in Cannaregio.

A world away from San Marco and the crowds. Head north through the old Jewish Ghetto and keep going until you reach the canal at Fondamenta delle Cappuccine. We sat outside on a warm February lunchtime with an Aperol Spritz and chicchetti. A delicious baccala Mantecato (saltcod) and sardea in... read more

We arrived quite late and were disappointed with the food though the service was very friendly (and excellent English). The price was comparable to Columbina, which we enjoyed much more.

Cheap, great selection and amazing service. Didn't eat, but the place is great and the staff welcomed us warmly and played with our one year old son making him laugh constantly. Clean and pleasant place, recommended.

We were staying in the Cannaregio area and, having read the excellent reviews for this restaurant, chose it for dinner one evening. We had booked in advance (although it turned out there was no necessity for this on a Monday in early March). We were really delighted with our choice. It's a very small simple restaurant with a family-run casual... More

We opted to go here after reading good reviews. We arrived early so just enjoyed some spritz. The owner was really friendly. We didn't stay for dinner in the end, although the menu looked quite good. The only veggie options didn't appeal to us so we went elsewhere. great cheap spritz and a nice welcoming vibe.

Osteria Bea Vita is the type of restaurant you stumble across by chance and enjoy one of the best meals and authentic dining experiences you will ever have in Venice. It's the place you can't wait to tell all your friends about back home and hope they don't tell all of their friends for fear of revealing this little gem... More

We found this restaurant on trip advisor. It was cosy and full of locals. The food was tasty and the portions were huge. Our meal tasted like home made food. Affordable prices and typical Venetian decor. It took 40mins by foot to get to this place from piazza san marco.

Of the beaten track and all the better for it. Close to a residential area of Venice. This is a small and extremely busy restaurant populated mainly by locals. Big portions and cheap prices. The food tasted great and was washed down with a litre of prosecco for only 12 euros. Worth a detour.

A must try if you happen to be in Venice and you like to stay away from the big crowds. Great service and food (octopus with potatoes, cod " a la vicentina" and meringata for dessert). Can't go wrong!

Exceed our expectation. Very special sea food. Friendly waitress. 60euro for 3ppl, good value for money.
