Been here a few years ago but not so good as before.location by the canal is nice but the food is nothing special.
Whilst not exactly bad, our meal at this restaurant during a recent visit to Venice was at the same time by some distance the least impressive and yet the most expensive. Set some way back from the main San Zaccaria waterfront down a side canal, the restaurant has a pretty location. Service was attentive until we had ordered (less so... More
We know Venice is not a city known for its gastronomic delights at a reasonable price, however, my husband and I never expected a meal of such appalling quality as we were served in this restaurant. I ordered a set meal. The pasta was served in a thick, cloying tomato sauce with a few dried up mussels that looked as... More
Apart from forgetting our order for a pre-dinner Kir Royale, the waiting staff were friendly and helpful. Plenty of choice on the menu with lots of fresh seafood and very pleasant to sit by canal. Obligatory accordion player came to sing but all helped the mood.
On arriving in venice my husband and I walked past this gorgeous looking canal side restaurant. I was sold in the location, so on our last night we decided to dine here. Big mistake and a waste of our precious last evening in Venice. The service was apalling and the food a joke! I ordered lasagne, which came out warm(ish),... More

I came here with five other travel partners without reservations. We were able to sit at a table right along the canal. We decided on this place because most of the restaurants along the grand canal are tourist traps offering bad food at high prices; Conchiglia is a great option if you would like to eat on the water. The... More
In a city where seafood restaurants are very common, and many are very good, this family owned gem truly does stand out as one among many. I have been coming here for years. The care in service taken by the family and staff is doting and the typical Venetian menu is artfully and skillfully presented. The wine list is moderate in... More
We found this restaurant by chance whilst walking round the narrow streets of Venice, it is alongside one of the many canals and I suspect in the warmer months it would be lovely to sit outside by the side of the canal. However, the weather was a liitle to cool so we sat inside, the staff were really friendly and... More
We had taken an apartment in Castello and our first night there we were all ready to eat at a place with a pleasant setting that was convenient to our nice apartment on Campo Bragora. I had eaten here on a previous trip to Venice and the food was acceptable and atmosphere nice. We ate well and for not much... More
