Recommended by our hotel concierge, we sought out the antico dolo and were not disappointed. We had a shared platter of cicchetta, tapas-like. Excellent meat and tuna-balls but slightly disappointing batter on aubergine and courgette strips. Lovely local beer, fantastic coffee to finish. The cafe itself is tiny and atmospheric. A good experience overall.

Four for dinner, in a great restaurant we found by accident. Very small with mainly double tables and only a couple of quads. Try the mixed Venice entree (sorry, forgot the actual name) delicious taste of the local specialties.

Expensive for lunch. Cost almost 50 euros with 2 pasta dishes, 2 beers and soda. Portions are small. Rude lady owner.

We dined here in September and had high hopes after reading the reviews. We were surprised at the atmosphere, it seemed a bit like the "Applebees of Venice." The food was good, nothing great, but the prices were very high. We had a pretty good meal with wine, and spent more than 100 euro. There are other places I'd chose... More

We were in search of lunch and shelter from the cold and find a hidden gem. The food is delightful, the table wine is good and the hosts are friendly. Nice, cosy feel. Don't hesitate to 'stumble' across this place.

We popped in to try a few cicchetti during our bar hopping tour of Venice. The cicchetti were decent; the staffed heated them for us, but the cover charge of EUR 3.50 per person was outrageous, considering that the cicchetti themselves only cost a few euros. Most bars in the area charge a more reasonable EUR 1 - 2 per... More

Tiny place not far from the Rialto Bridge. All the food prepared freshly and enjoyable. The cicchetti were very tasty and we had a traditional veal dish with polenta which was good too. Local wine was okay.

Traditional bacaro/restaurant where to try typical "cicchetti" and italian wines. Really close to Rialto bridge at the heart of Venice. Nice place and friendly staff. Worth to try: meat balls and Baccalà Mantecato (creamy codfish) with Polenta.

My mother & I discovered this rustic little bar/restaurant with a wonderful choice of cicchetti when we wandered off the beaten track. Situated out of the tourist area in Ruga Vecchia San Giovanni, over the Rialto, through the market Bruno Ruffini & turn left. I understand the building has served many years as a brothel but there is no sign... More

Absolutely wonderful food at reasonable prices. Had the mussel with spaghetti and grilled squid with polenta -- both were juicy, fresh with flavors wonderfully balanced. We went to Fiascheterria Toscana afterwards and not only found a more expensive bill but also lacking food (had calf liver and again grilled squid).
