The restaurant is easy to find and is next to the Tolentini Canal in S. Croce. Food and wine were reasonably priced for Venice.

Best meal in Venice so far. Great food, service, and prices. We had scallops served 3 ways. Amazing! Fresh tuna and steak dishes as well.

I asked for a good bottle of wine and was given the Stocco house wine, which was not doc, more expensive than doc wine on the menu and did disappoint in taste. Overall I was disappointed about the food compared to the price. I guess it is one restaurant trying to be upmarket, but then being disappointing.

Visited 10 april 2015 Looked flash and pricey, but Ribot didn't hurt the wallet too much. I had gnocchi with crab and tomatoes, hubby taglioni with zucchini and shrimp, bottle of Merlot from a quite pricey wine list, dessert of Creme brulee to,share. Music was great, apart from looking like it was from youtube on a tv screen. Got talking... More

We had an excellent lunch in this restaurant recommended by our hotel nearby. Service was very good, we enjoyed the selection of venetian antipastis and some grilled octopus, all really well presented and excellent. Prices are also reasonable, a rarity in Venice!

Wonderful find for lunch and so glad it was open. A lovely open sit down restaurant with really good food. Had the seafood risotto and tried a friend's gnocchi with crab and both were so wonderful. Great service, good bread and wine. Perfect place to eat in Venice especially during the day. Go here.

This restaurant seems to have more local people than tourists in it, always a good sign. The menu is small, too, another good sign. When the food comes it is beautifully cooked and presented, and that is the best sign of all.

Lovely little restaurant that fills up quickly - you should reserve a table. We found the staff very attentive and friendly - although our hotel warned us that the service could be slow this was not our experience. Some really well prepared sea food dishes, well worth dropping in if you're in that area.

We had an 20.30 booking and were a little surprised to be welcomed by a baby in a high chair that was not happy. Things got worse a few minutes later when a group of 10 arrived including three quite young children who refused to sit down. As we had not ordered we decided to leave, a waiter quickly saw... More

Had dinner here on recommendations on Tripadvisor - not disappointed. Beautiful food, wine, ambience and service and next door to accommodation.

Staying in Santa Croce

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Croce
Santa Croce gained importance as a sestiere (district) when Piazzale Roma was created in the 1930s to bring cars and buses close to the center of Venice. Constitution Bridge spans the Grand Canal linking Piazzale Roma to the train station. This area buzzes with energy from travelers and students. Historic palaces and former industrial buildings house some departments of Ca' Foscari and IUAV Architecture universities. On the Fondaco dei Turchi, Venice's Museum of Natural History offers Venetians prehistoric thrills, plus an overview of lagoon fish and wildlife. The Grand Canal, northern boundary of Santa Croce, is lined with palaces and decorated by the tall green dome of San Simeon Piccolo. Ca' Pesaro attracts Venetians to its contemporary art exhibitions. The Grand Canal exposes only one face of these buildings. On the opposite side, the palace often interacts with a square or a busy street to represent its neighborhood identity.
