Really excellent food from a sensible menu, which is explained really well by the waiter. Very good wine at really reasonable prices and the smoothest grappa I have ever tasted - not to mention the best Campari Spritz!

Venice isn't cheap and the closer you get to St Mark's Square the more expensive it gets. However, the city is small enough to be able to walk to good quality restaurants like Osteria alla Staffa in 10 minutes. Here you receive a warm welcome, good attentive service and quality food at a reasonable (for Venice) price. The restaurant is... More

We went here one night for dinner and simply fell in love with this little place. Outstanding, very attentive service, good priced wine (a glass of house wine is 1.50 Euros - and it was great!!) and delicious food. The small menu is in Italian, but it was not a problem as our waiter explained all the dished on the... More

This small Venetian restaurant is excellent. My small group of college students on a study abroad experience decided to try a full traditional Italian meal on one of our nights out, and we chose this place. The menu is very much Venetian, which means that most of the dishes focus on pasta or seafood. The food and house wine were... More

We had a delightful meal here - antipasta to share, followed by ultra fresh sea bream and sea bass, all washed down with a very reasonably price bottle of house red wine. I can highly recommend this restaurant.

All Staffa looks like loads of other places in the city but the menu tells you different. There is only an Italian menu not a problem for us and the staff are keen to help if needed. The menu focuses mainly on fish and seafood and all the dishes were very good. This would have had five stars except that... More

One more place we’ve liked in Venice, we had unforgettable dinner here. This is small and cozy osteria, with traditional Venetians dishes, reasonable prices and very hospitable staff. Don’t look for white table-cloth, a restaurant's chic or something of this sort – this is pretty simple, small, but very friendly and tasty place. We enjoyed the time we spent here... More

Nice little place with young comitted people in the bar, as waiter and in the kitchen. Menu content with a new interessting and succesfull touch. We went there for two lunches during our five days in Venice. It was very good both times. Great service.

The food here was absolutely delicious. With melt-in-the mouth fresh pasta, and an unforgettable dish of deer in red wine and blueberries that stole the show, we will be heading back to Osteria alla Staffa tomorrow. A brilliant little restaurant!

Had lunch here. The restaurant is small, quaint and relaxing inside which was a sharp contrast to the busy alley it was located in. The waiter was not that friendly (perhaps he was having a bad day), but one of the house specialties, the rabbit pasta dish, was simply amazing! I'd come back here for the food.
