Our daughter introduced us to Osteria Alla Staffa and luckily for us she did. What a treasure of a restaurant. Everything was cooked to perfection and while busy (booking is a must) you felt as if you were the only customers that were dining there. Attentive service, with food lovingly cooked and wines to match. If you are serious about... More

We thought a Monday night would be the right time to find a seat in Osteria Alla Staffa In one way, we were correct; in another, we were very lucky. We arrived early by Italian standards, after 1900, only to find that all of the seven tables in the Osteria were booked for the evening. The table we were offered... More

Finally a non touristic place in Venezia. The "affettatti" and the lasagne were very good. The ravioli were surprising and excellent. Good and friendly service. Limited number of seats, so better to book.

We went to this restaurant on our first night in Venice on the recommendation of our hotel. The food and wine were excellent. The waiter explained the menu and made recommendations. He was friendly and helped us choose pasta dishes that were amazing.

We were greeted by a very enthusiastic and helpful owner who made us feel very welcome. We were lucky in that there was one table still available, the place is tiny and I would recommend booking. Menu all in Italian but lots of help on hand, great fish dishes and really tasty pasta made fir me with cherry tomatoes and... More

We came here based on TripAdvisor reviews and were not disappointed! It was full the first night so we reserved for the second. It is a small place, located in one of Venice's narrow alleys away from the main tourist traffic. My entree was a squid ink tortellini pasta filled with cod in a saffron cream. Delicious, beautiful and unique.... More

This was the best meal we had in Venice..it's only small so it might be best to book for the following evening if you can't get in. The owners are so passionate about their food you can't help but get carried away with it all. We had a mixed meat starter & it was big but lovely the flavour's were... More

We came here on recommendation and we were not disappointed at all. It's mainly a seafood restaurant, and being in Italy for about a month now, I can safely say that it's been one of the best seafood restaurants that I've been to. It's a small restaurant (only 6 tables!) so you should book ahead. I got to taste some... More

Away from the swirm of tourists lies this pearl of Italian cuisine. Very few tables so a reservation is probably a good idea. Very nice food, fine ingredients and prepared with love for the Italian kitchen. Very cosy and sober interior. No kitsch here but honesty and simplicity. They open the wine bottle at your table and that already is... More
