Leave room for dessert

We had dinner here tonight and certainly felt like it was a good value. Our hotel recommended we go, so we made a reservation which I would recommend. The Tuna steak is excellent as was the lamb but make sure you leave room for dessert.

We had an excellent dinner. We shared our starter and got it served on two separate plates! As maincourse my wife had gilthead filet and I had beef in basalmico. Both dishes were of outstanding quality. The desserts Pannacotta and Tiramisu were both delicious. We will certainly come back!

We used Google to find this restaurant and glad we ended up going there. It is was a little hard to find and wasn't busy when we got there. The server was very nice and attentive. The food is great, fresh and delicious. I think they have a seasonal menu so items on the menu change when fresh ingredients are... More

this is a lovely little restaurant fortunately just round the corner from our hotel. We have eaten here before, on 2 occasions last year and returned twice this year because it is a rewarding experience. Lovely couple who run it. The food is excellent, tasty, fresh and well presented. The wine list is small but a good choice of reasonably priced... More

A small menu with seefood and meet options. Only 7 tabels outside in an enclosed place between walls, hard to find but worth it. 25 euros for a main course. We both had the tuna steak which was plenty and very good and served with fitting house wine. They are flexible for the children.

food, service and wine were all good; the atmosphere was quiet - regrettably the dinner wasn't especially memorable. Cost 60 Euros per person.

This restaurant is quite probably the best in Venice and is certainly one of the best in Northern Italy. It combines ambience, excellent service and a perfectly thought out and balanced menu. Speaking of the menu first, don't be deceived by the understatement when you look at it on their website. An example, "Mixed Grilled Fish" is actually a tasting... More

Hard to find, but served up some excellent food. We tried the gnochi for first course and mixed seafood risotto for second course, both very full flavoured and delicious. For dessert we tried the strawberry panacotta and caramel panacotta. All in all an excellent place to dine, might be a good idea to make a reservation as it's not too... More

Great food and service. Quiet place. We went there twice ! It was the best food we had in Venice. I liked it more than other fancier places. The restaurant was recommended by our tour guide. It was not easy to find and we had to use GPS.

Staying in San Polo

Neighborhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighborhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
