We were directed to this venue before we knew what to really ask for in Italy. The hotel directed us to the restaurant and we had a great Palazzo table. We had a decent meal; but I do have to comment on the appetizer (bloody mary mussel soup). The broth was amazing, light tomato broth, and the bowl came covered... More

We visited Venice in March 2013 and ate at this restaurant several times...and LOVED it! As soon as we arrived in Venice this August the first place we went to eat is this restaurant! It was even better than we remembered! The service and staff are amazing, the food is out of control GOOD - the best we have ever... More

My wife and I had dinner here last Friday. We sat in the covered outside area. The night was a bit cool but blankets were provided and we wanted to watch the people in the large square, which included kids playing, people chatting and a generally wonderful open ambience. Our meal was excellent, with lots of special touches and great... More

This was the best meal we had in Venice. Seafood was very fresh and perfectly prepared. Recommended by the hotel concierge. Large covered outdoor seating area. Prices generally reasonable, especially for Venice. The only exception being the extremely large (but excellent) chef's choice appetizer platter suggested by the waiter which proved expensive. We found the cuttlefish pasta (black in color... More

So we were recommended to this place by our tour guide (who we loved) so we went for lunch. Super hot outside so we asked to sit inside. I've never had anyone be so rude to us (rolling eyes, muttering under his breath) that we almost got up and left. We watched this same waiter be rude to other tourist,... More

During our 5 night stay in Venice we ate at Beccafico twice and enjoyed both times so much that when our ship returned for an overnight in Venice we returned to enjoy it again. Do not miss the Zuppe de Cozze (mussel soup). It is a large bowl of mussels in a fantastic broth that is covered in what appears... More

Simply brilliant. The only place where we've experience true professionalism. Thank you Paolo (Pavle)! It all starts with the feeling that you are truly welcome (that's a rare commodity in Venice these days). Paolo (head waiter) really knows how to do that. A fantastic smile, a great humor and the way he makes you and your love one feel special... More

This restaurant was recommended to us by a local person, and we found it to be delightful, both in terms of the food and the total experience including excellent service, a location outdoors in a nice piazza, etc. They were very busy and although they didn't really have space for us they found us a table, and were very attentive... My wife and I loved our meal here. Right on the square, with good people watching. Service was fantastic! The head waiter took his time explaining dishes and helping us make our choices. Very good selection of breads was brought out, including a pizza bianca. We started with the Zuppe de Cozze - mussels soup. It was a big bowl... More

Recommended by our hotel and in a close by campo the restaurant was reassuringly busy each evening (we had two evening meals in total) and the waiters were active and made sure you were looked after. The food was excellent - in particular the prawn salad starter and the lobster pasta. A free gratis limoncello with the superbly fattening tiramisu... More
