Great little pizza place near the Rialto bridge

Busy pizza and pasta restaurant near the Rialto bridge but worth a visit for its quirky pizzas based on horoscope names. Really friendly staff who make the experience worthwhile.

Good service. Good salad. Good pizza, but not perfect. Good house wine. The waiter was funny, always joking with our 9 y.o. daughter. Great place for lunch!

We ordered a sagittarius pizza and a lamb rib dish. The pizza was delicious and I like the horoscope names, although I wasn't sure how the ingredients on the pizza relate to the horoscope. The lamb rack had a very creamy sauce on it and it tasted great. I will definitely revisit the next time I'm in Venice.

The pizza here was fantastic! My only complaint is the service was a little slower than we would have liked (in terms of waiting for menus etc) Other than that everything was really good!

Very good pizza! We went with our two boys aged 6 and 8. They each had a Margherita which was good. I ordered the white funghi with truffle oil. First bite - I died a little death and went to heaven! The flavour was incredible. We loved the place so much we went back the next day and did it... More

This restaurant was a nice reprise from some of the outrageously over-priced restaurants we saw in Venice. Given the advice here, we made reservations and were glad that we did. The dining room filled up within 30 minutes of opening time in the evening. The first sign of good things to come was the caprese salad we ordered. It wasn't... More

Very cosy if you don't mind verging on claustrophobic. Also very busy which is a good sign. Service and prices were good and food was very nice. Fresh base on pizzas and a good choice of toppings. The only snag I had is that I had the most amazing pizza on my first night at the Rossopermodera near St Marks... More

We've eaten here a couple of times now. The pizza was very good, but the main star was the fresh tuna. This was surprisingly refined, and although at first glance looked a little small, it was more than adequate. The dolce are exceptional, and we particularly liked the 'cassatina' which is the best substitute that I have had for the... More

Staying in San Marco

Neighborhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
