On our 4th day in Venice I was missing some home comforts, we thought we would have Chinese food for dinner, having eaten Chinese food in several countries it is usually reasonably consistent.... Why eat Chinese in Venice. Well, all the Italian restaurants you pass have people standing outside trying to draw you in, and this we hate, so we walk on by. The Chinese don't do it, so we went there. Most of the meals we did not recognise, but what we ordered was fine. Besides, we go by the rule that... More

My food had no flavour whatsoever. The rice arrived stone cold. The spinach in garlic arrived in a puddle of murky water with two pieces of visible uncooked garlic. The staff are very good at whisking your plate away the second they think you are finished with it. Totally unremarkable and not worth the price.

The place was well lit. The staff was courteous. The food was good. The portion was small for European standard, but for the price, it was ok. No cover charge, but there was 12% tax. I paid €38 for Crispy Duck, Fried Pork Ribs, Steamed dumplings, corn soup, steamed rice, fried rice, and 1L water. Not bad! :)

We liked dining here so much we came here twice. After a three week tour of Italy the last thing we wanted to see was another pasta or pizza. Captiol was a welcome reprieve! The staff were friendly. Food was cheap and came out quickly. Dishes were brought out one at a time the first night. The second night we... More

I'll start with the positive. The staff were friendly. Sadly it went downhill very rapidly from there. The food (soup / jasmine tea) was watered down. The mains were awful. I ordered crispy chilly beef which was soggy and simply tasted of salt and chilli - I didn't find any beef at all. My husband's lemon chicken was mainly a... More

The food was just awful and the four of us agreed it was the worst we have ever tasted of all cuisines tried. Chicken fillets were round blobs of unidentified food, the crispy beef was little soggy, salty, and spongy with no beef to be found, sweet and sour pork was small pieces of batter in a cold sauce from... Don't to go into details. In short, it is just another case that people that have attitude problems or don't know what's customer service should not be in the industry. If you don't want to ruin your holiday mood, avoid. I hope the woman in short hair is not the owner and if she is, it just goes to show... More

We were shown to our table and given menus. We got ready to order a substantial lunch for 2 people. We asked the waitress for tap water. She said this was a restaurant and they did not give away water. We had to order bottled water or have no water. We said we did not like bottled water and would... More

We stepped inside, into one the most bizarre dining experiences we've ever had. We were hastily shown our seats by what appeared to be a waitress that was disgruntled that we were even there. We ordered our main course which for some obscure reason was served one dish at a time so that my beef arrived and was finished before... More
