Nice restaurant just off the busy street. Relaxed and quiet, very nice to sit outdoors. Excellent seafood, delicate tastes. Good desserts, reasonable prices. Good find of a restaurant, seemed much better then all other ones we saw in the area.

Visited this Seafood Restaurant in the Cannaregio area of Venice on Wed Aug 13th. I had the scallops and seafood as a starter while my wife had the mussel and clams soup. Both were excellent and were very well presented! For lunch we split the linguine with lobster. Cannot even describe how great it was. My grandfather was a lobster... More

We got lured in here because they were able to do gluten free pasta...but the food was very disappointing. Everything tasted like it was made from the same chicken broth base...and three of us ordered seafood!?!? My husbands cuttlefish pasta, my seafood pasta and my daughters spaghetti with clams, all tasted of chicken broth base, just awful. This was most... More

We found this restaurant by chance right off the super-beaten track of Venice. I was getting a bit fed up with seeing trattoria after trattoria packed with tourists. The place is simple yet welcoming. The staff is very friendly and used to having kids around. We sat at their very private terrace and had a nice meal of well prepared... More

Everyone loves pasta, but the way they do their past is just taking it to a whole new level! Just worth going there when u drop by.

We were staying nearby this lovely restaurant and ate here on our last night in Venice. We had one gluten free person in our group of 3.The waiter pointed out the suitable dishes and they happily provided gluten free pasta with all the usual sauces. They were most accommodating and a lovely lady that I believe was in charge came and checked... Venice is not known for amazing food and we had been disappointed by the first two meals we had in Venice but Al Fontego made up for it. We both really like seafood but I am not a fan of squid. That said, we had a seafood starter platter that included 6-8 different types of seafood. One was a baby... More

5 years ago we had a memorable meal here and were delighted to find it again- not easy - and to see it was still a fish specialist. However delight soon turned to disappointment. Service was a bit slow and fussy. The special of the day was sea bass at €50 -60 depending on weight. I was pushed in this... More

Nice atmosphere and amazing food. I recommend this place for a good sea food meal. The service is good and the boss is taking care of the customers.
