Fantastic taste of the Venetian laguna!

Very good food and staff were excellent. Food portion is not very big but food taste was divine. If you take a starter and a main course it should be fine. Had a good lunch while we were in Venice, will visit again if we are in Venice. Well done

Waiting staff are fantastic. Food is also fantastic but relatively pricey compared to other restraunts . However considering you are getting Michelin-style food, it is a steal. Well worth trying.

Its in an area away from the crowds and doesn't look like much from the outside. Pleasantly surprised with the great food, good wine and the best Tiramisu I've had. If Im ever in Venice again I would definitely drop by.

Don't miss this place. We also glad we discovered it ... It became the highlight of Venice for us. Set away from the touristy areas overlooking th water there is a cafe in the front and a tasteful warm inviting restaurant at the rear. In summer there is seating out front. The service was attentive and friendly and fun. The... More

We were freezing, so we ordered hot chocolate to warm up. I also ordered a spritz (suggested by a friend from Verona) but it was never delivered! However, the restaurant is lovely (we ate here a few years ago with wonderful food) and the hot chocolate and biscuits were just what we needed. We also had dinner reservations somewhere else,... The atmosphere is great, the waiters were very attentive and fun to chat with, and the food was delicious!!!! We had starters, a main dish, and dessert; all were very good! I highly recommend when in Venice. There are many unique options.

When we arrived the apartment was terribly cold..10 degrees or so. It took over a full day for it to warm to 16 degrees and we were only there 3 days. The location was fine.

The restaurant offers outstanding food, excellent service and wines are really special. The staff and the chef are really super nice people and that makes the atmosphere cozy (great). Prices are not cheap but far better price value compared to what you can find in Venice in most of the other places ... Enjoy

The atmosphere was nice and the wait staff accommodating. It was one of the few restaurants that offered an Alla carte menu. Most places offered a fixed menu. The food was very good.

Staying in Cannaregio

Neighborhood Profile
Cannaregio
Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district) with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution, 2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby shops on the Lista di Spagna offer specialties like pastries and coffee that lure Venetians with a down-to-earth attitude. The Ghetto, where the Jewish population was segregated in Cannaregio, has five historic synagogues with an active Jewish community. The Fondamente Nove bustles with foot traffic to the Rialto and San Marco while vaporettos (water taxis) head to Murano and other islands. Side streets lead into quiet picturesque neighborhoods and palaces like Ca' d'Oro rise directly out of the water.
