Touristy

Well I guess you don't come to Venice for the food anyway. we were recommended here by our hotel. The menu is very touristy but we had adequate pizza and puddings. I just found it a bit expensive for what it was especially as the house red was very rough.

While in Venice, we would walk by this restaurant everyday and there was a gentleman outside always inviting us in. We finally gave in one day and went inside. Once inside the man changed his formal attire and put on his chef attire and tend to us. The food was great and the service was great. The nite ambiance is... More

We are in the land of pasta - and deal with gluten issues every day. The Trattoria Povoledo menu had 12 symbols so one could see right away what could be consumed and what could not. The menu states that "staff have been well trained" to deal with food allergies etc. Gluten free pasta was on offer, although we did... More

Walking down the Lista di Spagna on a VERY cold day, we had succumbed to one of the 'enticers' and had lunch (menu di giorno) in a not very prepossessing restaurant which served not very prepossessing food but which was at least warmer than the outside conditions! That evening we decided on a different Trattoria, the Povoledo – run by... More

Got pulled in by the pitchman at the door on a snowy night. We were happy the heat worked food was ok and they tacked on a 2 Euro cover charge. Not much here for vegetarians. We had gorgonzola ravioli (very heavy), vegetable lasagna (ok), pasta with sea bass (tasted like tuna to me), and 2 bottles of water....Dinner for... More

the restaurant was a few door away from our hotel, passed by this restaurant after dinner, a lovely man greeted on the street and invited us to visit the restaurant. We decided to visit the next day during lunch time before leaving to Florence, the staff was helpful and organized a table for us overlooking the canal, and we have... More

The food was awesome (we ate lunch and then came back for dinner). The service was phenomenal (they greeted us like old friends when we came back). Loved it.

We had mussels in tomato sauce, vongole pasta, seafood pasta, and pizza. All were great. House wine are also very nice (both red and white). The price is reasonable. We sat at the table outside on the balcony and it was perfect. However, there was some kind of seating fee for 2Euro each. Not sure if that was normal.

This was opposite our hotel and we went there after reading other reviews. The meal was good the staff were good what more do you want? We opted to eat outside and we were not cold although we kept our coats on. In summer it would be lovely.
