Great quality price!

I went to this restaurant with my family for lunch and it was a positive surprise. Very close to venice train station, the restaurant hs a very nice terrace to the canal and staff is really nice! Food is also good - We ate pizzas only. In general, great place to go!

This was our first visit to this restaurant and what an excellent surprise. Great food, ambiance and service. Well done to Roberto for persuading us to dine there. Highly recommended but go there hungry as the portions are generous and not overpriced!

Excellent reception and wonderful table position beside the Grand Canal. The cooks here in are monumental in delivery namely the to die for steak and the gentle nature on the fish to make both a delight. The service was first class BUT and here it comes ... your wine must lead .. what do we mean is that your recommendation... More

Red geraniums in the window boxes, seating overlooking the Grand Canal, delicious food and good service. Other than the smokers nearby, it was a great place to enjoy an authentic meal.

One of the biggest ticks for this restaurant is the air-conditioning. We visited during the really hot spell in early July and loved that we could sit inside and be cool (I think they thought we were mad not wanting to sit on the canal!). The pasta dishes are good but the serving sizes are on the smaller side. We... More

Just had one of the best meals ever. Enjoyed eating in some of the worlds finest restaurants with mixed results. Tonight we had a truly remarkable experience of beautiful food, outstanding service and value rarely found anywhere. The quality of the seafood and the fillet steak were first class, the attentiveness of the staff was excellent, and for a price... More

My partner and I both enjoyed a pizza here recently, we were seated outside with a commanding view of the grand canal. Friendly attentive staff and some excellent tasty pizzas!

This is a nice trattoria located on the Grand Canal no more than five minutes away from the railway station. In fact one of the first restaurants on the long walk to St Marks Square and being so far away from the main tourist hub not quite what you would expect price wise for its location. You can sit inside... More

Cute spot with seating near the water on the canal. We both had a pizza (though they had Italian standard entrees) and shared a bottle of wine and a dessert and it was delicious. Beautifully lit at night and near train station.

My boyfriend and I ate dinner here on our first night in Venice. Paul (the usher) really brought the place to life, with his classic italian charm. We got a table right on the water (get there early-ish to grab one, 6pm is safe) and we ordred the beef lasagna and gnocci ham & zucchini. The lasagna is up there... More

Staying in Cannaregio

Neighborhood Profile
Cannaregio
Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district) with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution, 2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby shops on the Lista di Spagna offer specialties like pastries and coffee that lure Venetians with a down-to-earth attitude. The Ghetto, where the Jewish population was segregated in Cannaregio, has five historic synagogues with an active Jewish community. The Fondamente Nove bustles with foot traffic to the Rialto and San Marco while vaporettos (water taxis) head to Murano and other islands. Side streets lead into quiet picturesque neighborhoods and palaces like Ca' d'Oro rise directly out of the water.
