Nice service - very friendly. The food was pretty ok but nothing special. Had mix fried vegetables and seafood as shared starter which was good. Then spaghetti ragu and taglialette(?) scampi which both were average.

Very nice atmosphere in this typical "Osteria"! Not a 5 star restaurant but a small, true, full of flavour place! Very good the price too! Let's go and enjoy the flavour of typical venice dishes!

Our first eating experience in Venice was really lovely medium priced and off the beaten track. I had the cuttlefish black ink and polenta dish whilst my partner had scollops salad starters with sardine and onion as mains. Our waiter was very helpful for non Italian speakers and the food was delicious. We were the last to be served as... More

Located in a side street off the Plaza Santa Margarita, this is a perfectly satisfactory Italian restaurant, catering to both tourists and locals. The Plaza in years gone by was probably host to a whole variety of shops relevant to a suburban living area (Dorsoduro is an upper middle-class area of the city) but is now almost completely given up... This is a nice restaurant on a quiet street. We got the spaghetti and polenta with seppia ink sauce. It was very good, it reminded me of jajangmyun (a Korean-Chinese soybean sauce noodle dish). Kind of earthy but with a seafood flavor.

Was there on 22 July with a couple of Nigerian friends. Were advised to have a mixed seafood starter to share and seppia ink linguine. Everything tasted right, including the wine...

Our dinner at this restaurant almost caused a serious argument between myself and my husband. First there was an awful smell in the street caused by a neighbour using something like acetone however restaurant management were able to get him to stop. Second I was served flat prosecco that thankfully was replaced. Third we were told that the seafood risotto... More

Had a lunch with my Family in Osteria ai Carmini in July 2014. The food is authentic Venetian, prices are reasonable and the service was friendly and professional. Nothing to complain. Would refommend for a less touristic experience in Venice.

We'd made the mistake of booking an opera package at the Carmini Scuola that included a meal at this restaurant. The experience was simply dire.We were told to arrive at 7.00 and found that we were the only diners. No one else came into the restaurant during our whole meal which tells you a lot. Other restaurants in nearby Campo... More
