Great gelato

Very good ice creams ! Fruits or not, just quality food. In the summer, it quickly became a daily stop !

Everything on the menu is great - enjoy some of their fantastic icecream sundaes or try a toast and some prosecco. Great 'people watching' spot

We stopped here twice for snacks and lunch. The food was nice, the pizza was lovely as were the panini's were good too. We really enjoyed sitting watching the world go by.

Walk a few minutes out of St Marks Square and the price of most things plummet by half as it does in Gelateria Paolin. 30 choices of ice cream and lots of fresh fruit toppings - exciting!

My father, brother, and I were in Venice for two days. We stopped here for a quick drink and some gelato on our first day and were incredibly pleased. The staff was attentive, but not annoying. The gelato was delicious, and the prices weren't bad at all! We ended up going back the second day! My personal recommendation: the White... More

A lovely venue to sit and enjoy a drink and watch the passers by. We returned several times as this was close to our hotel.

Probably one of our favorite gelaterias we tried in our 2 weeks in Italy. They had great gelato with great prices. We loved the amaretto flavor and the fact that we could get 1 scoop in a cup or cone for $1.50. We didn't realize how great this was until we moved on to Florence and Cinque Terre where most... Certainly one of the best Gelateria in Venezia, idealy situated on the large Campo Santo Stefano, where you can also have some light meal, a good cocktail or some other drink. Smiley service.

We called here for a few drinks after walking around Venice. The drinks were reasonably priced for this area and we were given unlimited crips which was an added bonus. I would like to go back and try the ice cream.

The best gelato my husband and I took in our tour in Italy. Refresh dessert. Sweetness and creamy in balance.

Staying in San Marco

Neighborhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
