It was a special esperience for fish food and for the servie of the staff, very nice. The owner made for us a special way to "clean" the fish.

Take Calle Crosera from Riva Ca di Dio and keep walking until you see this little jewel on the left. There are about 4-5 tables out front in the middle of the Calle Crosera Dorsoduro. Take a seat at a table out in the open and sit back to enjoy a feast of squid ink pasta and fresh fish. Pasta... More

Happened on this Osteria, looked less touristy than most so went for it. Just the two of us for a change. We had a lovely evening. The owner picked our meal for us, recommended a really good wine and looked after us well. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience in a city here the food can be average. Loses a star... More

Last july, i had a great evening in this "Ostaria". Good fresh food a great show… We promised to come back in october and so we did. This time inside the restaurant, last july, outside… Fresh raw sea bass , and raw langoustines. Tricky may be, but NOT at Do Farai. Top fresh, well done, nice bite, oil, salt pepper... More

Stefano made our evening a beautiful, delicious experience. He tailored the menu so we would all get our favorite dishes. He selected delicious wines, hand carved food at our table, made homemade Limoncello dessert for the entire restaurant and made this evening spectacular. We were only in Venice 3 nights and we dined at Do Farai twice! Truly a unique... More

Recommended by hotel owner .....tough to find ......but well worth it! We had one of the best meals we ever had in Venice. The owner made all of the suggestions for appetizers, pasta, and fish . Excellent presentation and even did a big show with after dinner drinks with lemon ice cream, milk, and sparkling wine . Overall it was... More

This was a fantastic meal, incredible atmosphere, and delicious fresh fresh fresh fish. This owner was cordial, easy going, and friendly. He made us most welcome. No tourist menu here Happily. Not for the "group rate" crowd.. only for those interested in the REAL venice experience

We chose this place based on the trip advisor excellence sticker in the window, and knew we were in the right place because it seemed full of locals. We loved it. The owner served is, with his assistant Mani helping out. We knew his name because the owner shouted it while making a request every thirty seconds (it seemed lighthearted... More

Venice isn't always known for it's great food. In fact it has a reputation as average food and poor service. Well totally by accident my family and I found Do Farai Ostaria in Venice. It was raining and in desperation we ducked into this side street restaurant which was full of people and a had a wonderful cheerful ambiance. We... More
