Excellent lunch with speedy service

We were recommended for lunch here by one the Glass Masters of Murano, Gabrielle Urban, who told us "mangia bene, ai Vetrai" So we went. This little eatery situated in about the centre of Murano overlooking the canal was a hive of activity when we stopped for a late lunch. Staff were clearly under pressure, but remained pleasant in their dealings with us. We chose the tourist option menu and were very pleased with the taste, pres expectation and price. Definitely worth the waterbus trip.

On the face of it, this looked like a good place to eat in Murano. In reality it we should have probably chosen to go somewhere else. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't especially good, and the service was painfully slow. Apparently there was someone new working in the kitchen that had slowed everything down. The chef was very apologetic... More

I had the price fixed lunch and my partner the pasta with mussels and a bottle of house white wine. The service was great and we enjoyed the weather sitting canal side. The seafood lasagna had shrimp, green beans and asparagus. The sole was grilled perfectly, the pasta aldente as expected. The lunch was not too heavy and priced right.

Our family's 5 dinner selections were all wonderful. Waiter was very helpful in suggesting a couple of items we would not normally have chosen, and they were excellent. Would definitely recommend.

For our second evening on Murano we decided to try this lovely looking canal side Trattoria. The menu offer a range of pasta and pizza and early evening the service was fairly prompt and it was wonderful to be sitting beside the beautiful canal. When our Lasagne and Pasta dishes arrived there was no attempt to enhance their presentation and... More

I am not sure we would hav chosen this, if all the others were open. We did not regret! For dinner there were no need for reservations. We had a table inside. Three more tables were taken inside, and there were a couple of groups outside.Atmosphere was a trattoria worthy; Unformal, friendly and a bit noicy. Service was friendly, but... More

This looks like any other patio restaurant along the canal in Murano, but it opens up into several bright, cheerful rooms with much appreciated AC. The food is spectacular, yet unpretentious and reasonably priced. We found ourselves among local workers on their lunch break, which added to the charm of the restaurant.

This pleasant, unassuming Trattoria is on the east side of Rio dei Vetrai, Murano. We enjoyed a simple pasta lunch (1x Tagliatelle with crab & 1x Spaghetti al sugo), nice house wine. A family run restaurant with good food and friendly staff. Reasonably priced, we'd go back.

Water side eating on the calmer island of Murano, 15 euros for the set menu was fantastic value and if inflation takes this higher you will still have a great meal. I had the spaghetti marinara and squid in ink, both packed controlled amounts of umami flavours and a side salad on the side. The restaurant also has real table... More
