Booked basis TripAdvisor reviews on two day's notice. We were extremely lucky to get a table, I would say. Simple superb from email exchange to confirm to departure at the end of the meal ! Clearly passionate about food and service. An air of quite calm and confidence through out including in the kitchen which we could see from our... More

We had a little trouble finding the restaurant but it was well worth the walk. We arrived at our appointed time of 7p to an essentially empty restaurant, a little nervous but the staff were very inviting. We enjoyed a glass of Proseco and got to know the staff. Our host suggested the fish carpaccio and the sea bass baked... More

We have been lucky enough to go to Venice several times in recent years. Our best dining experience in Venice was at La Riviera, hands-down. But I'll go further - it was one of our best dining experiences, period. This is definitely not some tourist place. The food is thoughtfully prepared by people who really care about the entire dining... More

We had not booked so were fortunate to get a table in this excellent restaurant. We were shown the specials and were so tempted did not even look at the menu. We both had the seafood starter of 8 assorted marinated/raw fish with amazingly tasty accompaniments like fennel, strawberry, mint etc. Delicious, my description does not do it justice. We... More

Splendid cuisine, location and atmosphere. But what rounds off the experience to make it one of the most special restaurants I have visited was the exquisite care and attention provided by all staff, up to, and particularly including, the owner. It was perfectly obvious considerable thought and energy has been applied to ensure guests are put at ease. The result... More

This was definitely the best meal we had in Venice and a fantastic experience. The service was exceptional and made even more attentive by the charismatic owner, who engaged us in a very compelling conversation. The fish carpaccio was probably the highlight of the meal. We were presented with eight different types of fish marinated in different flavours, including seabass... More

We were recommended this restaurant by one of the staff on the Orient Express. Our hotel made the booking for us, also telling us that it was an excellent choice, The owner was attentive & helpful recommending a wonderful local wine that I would never have chosen. The menu was unusual & inventive. All the food that we ate was... More

Superb food, attentive staff - a complete fine dining experience. Owner recommended the wine which we couldn't fault. A lot of reviews say it is expensive but you do get what you pay for. £65 per head excluding wine. A real must for a special occasion!

This is a "posh" restaurant. Food was excellent. We had from the a la carte rather than a tasting menu. Well presented, high quality food. Owner is very attentive and oversees everything on service. Likes to come for a chat, which we did over the wine recommendation. Restaurant is in a lovely setting and if one can sit outside (too... More

We chose this restaurant because we needed a menu with more fish and vegetarian like options. The hotel called for us and spoke with the owner directly and he said he had plenty to serve us. It was a beautiful night but too cold to sit outside. We had a drink in the front room while they graciously offered to... More
