For our one dinner in Venice, after scouring TripAdvisor for options, we selected Riviera - and so happy we did. Simply amazing experience... fresh fish selections filled the menu, for a delicious selection of crudo to local whitefish. Homemade pasta and desert, along with a varied wine list added to the evening. The owner come over to welcome us, and... More

The rivière is away from the hustle and bustle of Venice but close enough to walk - it overlooks Molina Stuky and the views are wonderful - after dinner we walked back to our hotel. Food was really great - they love what they do and the maître di gave us great recommendations - the food is pretty good value... More

I went with my wife for dinner. The view and service was very nice. All the tables were also visited by the owner. The food however was not what I was expecting. I ordered the cuttlefish which was very fishy- maybe that's the way venitian cuttlefish should be- my wife actually ate it because I could not. The bread was... More

Eating at Riviera is a gift from life, particularly as most restaurants in Venice are expensive and not very good. We sat outside by the water, enjoyed very refined dishes. The fish cooked in salt was divine, my husband could not stop saying yum while eating his cuttlefish with black ink, our young daughters enjoyed a very soft beef filet... More

If you appreciate GREAT food and GREAT service, you got to try this place. Everything they do is top of the line, from: ingredients, preparation, service and the owner! Aside of being one of the best restaurants in Venice, the Owner is very genuine. He is very passionate about putting together the best food and best dining experience. Try the... More

My Wife and I visited this restaurant early September, as others say, lovely location, staff relatively pleasant, owner seems a nice guy. Food not memorable at all, in fact main course pretty unmemorable. Again, Sorry, but I couldn't get away from the feeling of paying a fortune for not very much better than my old mum's stew, produced in a... More

Sir I copy/paste from the Carte in use at Ristorante Riviera at early September: "pappardelle al ragù di pezzata rossa e finferli pappardelles (tagliatelles larges) au ragoût de pezzata rossa (bœuf)et girolles pappardelle (large tagliatelle) with pezzata rossa (beef meat) sauce and chanterelles" I read here beef sauce, and nowhere "diced" or "stew" beef as you wrote. And, to be... More

We cannot fault this restaurant at all. To eat outside in September, as we did today, on a warm sunny Sunday far away from the crowded tourist spots was perfect. As starters my wife had the 'saur' langoustine whilst I had 'guitar' spaghetti with baby scallops. To follow we had the salt-baked sea bass. The waiter helped us choose a... More

The food here is amazing. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner and his passion for food and perfection is why this restaurant is so great. All the food is locally sourced by the owner himself and ridiculously fresh. The service was impeccable. I actually can't fault the restaurant at all. If you're in Venice, you HAVE to go.

We had a fabulous meal here while in Venice. The restaurant had been recommended to us by a family member and we certainly weren't disappointed. The staff were excellent, attentive but not intrusive. We had a whole salt baked sea bream which was truly outstanding. The sommelier recommended a wine to match which was one of the best I've had.... More
