I have been traveling bin Europe for last 1.5 months and been to some very famous restaurants in Paris, but this place is my favorite so far. The food was absolutely stunning cresting your experience with every bit. The service was the best I've seen during last 1.5 months.

We decided to visit Riviera on our first night in Venice and weren't disappointed! Some other reviewers have noted the restaurant to be expensive, however it is not over priced. The thought and effort that is put into every dish makes it worth it, along with the fantastic service from GP and his team! We shared a scallops starter, then... More

My family an excellent 2 dinners there. First dinner we reserved ahead based on reviews. The second dinner we booked there after our first great experience. The food was excellent. It's pricey, but worth it.

We went here on our recent trip to Venice based on previous trip advisor reviews and we were not disappointed! The food was divine, the service impeccable and the owner made himself known to every one. Would highly recommend this beautiful restaurant.

I don't quite get why this restaurant has such good ratings. I mean it's a gem location-wise, the service is outstanding and the atmosphere is cosy, but the food is very average. It is the only flaw, but it's the food that's important in a restaurant after all. Wasn't bad, but nothing special at all and that's a shame because... More

My fiance and I were told to visit this restaurant by our tour guide - she warned us beforehand that it was a little pricier than standard restaurants in Venice but that the food was well worth it. Well we were not disappointed! We had a the most delicious Sea Bass (freshly caught that day and baked in salt)! At... More

Absolutely superb restaurant, best we visited in Venice by some distance. Staff are well informed, attentive and engaging. Food is exceptional, particularly the marinaded fish starter and the salt-baked sea bass main. Would thoroughly recommend

Encouraged by many positive TripAdviser reviews, we booked a table for two and made our the S Basilio vaporetto stop in great anticipation. This is a frankly exceptional restaurant, fully justified in charging fine dining prices for a genuinely fine dining experience. The guidance through the menu by the friendly, relaxed and knowledgable staff was great (in English, Italian and... More

Staying in Dorsoduro / Accademia

Neighborhood Profile
Dorsoduro / Accademia
Artsy is the defining mood of this neighborhood with street artists, students, painters, sculptors, restorers, curators, historians, collectors, heirs and heiresses rubbing elbows. Peggy Guggenheim's collection, now a museum, lures chic locals for evening art aperitifs. Traditionalists and visionaries cocoon in bohemian luxury. La Salute basilica buttresses the neighborhood to the east. Gondolas bob in the morning light. The Accademia Bridge crosses the Grand Canal. A back street doubles as basketball court. Palaces house residents, or like Ca' Foscari a university, or a museum like Ca’ Rezzonico that attracts Venetians for concerts. Dorsoduro reveals its industrial roots too, in buildings converted to house university departments or exhibitions. Campo Santa Margherita bursts with youthful energy from local students. Foot traffic bustles to and from Piazzale Roma and Santa Lucia train station. Evening commuters pause for an aperitivo. Neighbors exchange confidants in a campo (square) on their way to market.
