This restaurant is a solid choice in terms of proximity to the Rialto Bridge, with but has neither particularly remarkable food nor a good value for the price. The one thing that did stand out was the eagerness of Giordano (the owner or manager?) to please us. We wanted to eat early by Venetian standards - they open at 6:30... More

Small, charming restaurant in Venice. We had a wonderful risotto there. It is located right across the Rialto Bridge.

Close to the canal and late night activities. Singing in the streets as you walk back to your hotel is magnificent.

Nice decorated small restaurant but nothing else. Two small plates with spaghetti nothing special with two glass of wine 70 euro. I know that Venice is expensive in terms of restaurants but at least give us a proper portion of food not half portion....also one glass of proseco and one fruitpants 25 euro. It seems Amman hotel restaurant, ostaria da... More

This is the third time I have been back to this restaurant and it NEVER dissapoints!!! We had starters , mains, desserts and coffe - everything was amazing. Risotto, sea food pasta, fish.... 10/10 It is quite a pricey meal but well worth it! And the service is just as perfect! We highly reccomend it!

We visited this restaurant on the recommendation of our hotel when we were in Venice for our honeymoon in 2008. On that occasion we knew it was the best meal we'd had in the whole of our honeymoon so when we decided to return to Venice in Jan 2015 we asked our hotel to book us in to this place... More

We were around Rialto bridge and we decided to have lunch at paradiso because it was really cold and windy and we didn't to look for other restaurant. They have only two vegetarian dishes. Spaghetti with tomato sauce and rice and vegetables. Both were good and the portion was big. It was not expensive either. However, don't expect a warm... More

Coming from a restaurant focused city, I expected more when I read about this restaurant on Trip Advisor and saw others lauding this place as "the best meals in their life". Perhaps it is also this bias that leads me to conclude that the food was, at best, slightly above average. Four our app, we ordered Bresaola - which melted... More

Staying in San Polo

Neighborhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighborhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
