Al Paradison is a small, quaint reastaurant in the Rialto area of Venice with both indoor and outside seating. We were warmly greeted and attended to by the staff. We chose to be served in the dining room since Venice was in the middle of a heatwave. Each course we had was fresh, well prepared, presented and delicious. Eccellente! Delizioso!

Let me start out with that the food and service were good, so no worries there. During our lunch time meal we overheard and argument with the Italian restaurant owner and a Spanish guest. The guest complained about a EUR 25 charge on top of his bill, and what was it for? It turned out to be a fee for... More

Just by the route to Rialto, but away from crowd, in a small pleasant street, with terrace in shade. Wide selection of dishes, from pasta up to more complex. Most important - food was great, wine also, and it was a delight of the perfect day:-)

The restaurant was recommended by our hotel. I read many reviews about the service and complaints about the owner which we did not experience. The service was attentive as was the owner who was also very personable, kind, and just a gentleman. I had the mixed fish over pasta and my wife had the pasta vongole. Both were delicious, cooked... Our hotel staff recommended this restaurant as casual. It would say it is for a special occasion. I had a wonderful bellini and the waitress was kind enough to offer to make the artichoke antipasto for three so we could all have a taste. Unfortunately, it was mushy. We were happy with our primo and secondo plates. They were made... More

The restaurant is in the very animated quarter of San Polo, close to a crowded street but 50m away of it so it's very quiet. The food is good, service too and it's not expensive for Venice

My husband and I ate at Al Paradiso for our first dinner in Venice. Staff, food, and atmosphere were all amazing. Dinning room was small, but it made for a warm and cozy dinner. We both really enjoyed and will return if in Venice again.

We had a lovely meal here - the restaurant is in the Rialto area, just off a very busy street, but the street it is on is quiet. The staff have worked together for years and the place has the feel of family. The one thing that was bad was that we had been booked to an outside table at... More

Best place to have dinner in Venice, everything was delicious. Swordfish carpaccio, mussels and seafood pasta. Service is fast and kind, garden is enough cold with vantillators.

Staying in San Polo

Neighborhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighborhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
