Happened upon this restaurant one evening while looking for someplace off the beaten path. We were a group of 4, 3 women and 1 young man. It looked charming, but was empty inside as well as the outdoor tables. We thought they must be closed. Unfortunately for us they weren't. We asked to sit outside but the VERY rude hostess... More

Went on the recommendation of some locals, and loved every bite. One of the best meals I've ever had.

We went here because we didn't want the typical tourist restaurants with mediocre food and OMG so glad we did! Giordano the owner is a typical Italian man so happy to have guests in his restaurant and one tip is to let him recommend things to you! We started off with stuffed zucchini blossoms with mozzarella, mussels in a red... More

This restaurant was highly recommended by the concierge at our hotel and it was probably one of the best meals that we had during our two week vacation. The owner of the restaurant helped us make our selection and also recommended that we select two entrees and he would split them for the two of us for first and second... More

Found this resto from TripAdvisor. It's very high ranking in their list and with good reason. Spent 40e for x2 Tourist Menus which included x2 delicious pasta first plates, x2 very well cooked 2nd plates (fish or meat) (the scaloppine in white wine were amazing) & x2 deserts. Beverages were not included in the menu price but provides are reasonable.... More

I was looking for some fresh seafood and got this recommendation from the hotel concierge. We made a reservation and that seems to be the way to go as many people including what appeared to be steady customers were turned away as the place got filled quickly. The owner greeted us and checked to see if all was satisfactory. I had... More

I have been to this restaurant several times and I am still a big fan! It is an authentic Venetian restaurant experience. A bit off the beaten path with charming service and delicious food - you should try it. This restaurant was recommened by our hotel concierge as he takes his family to Al Paradiso for special occasions. Definitely try... More

We asked for a restaurant that was delicious but not "touristy" and Massimo outdid himself! Near the Rialto Bridge (but not on the water) we enjoyed a memorable evening under the stars in romantic Venice! I was pleasantly surprised to see John Dory on the menu--absolutely a favorite and not often available even in fine restaurants (that alone testifies to... More

Our first meal in Italy was here. The owner was kind of grumpy because we were hauling our luggage and we were clearly tourists. He immediately gave the three of us four menus. Three of the menus were tourist menus, one menu was the real menu. When I asked the difference he explained that the tourist menu exists to compete... More

If you liked a dish there ten years ago, it will exactly the same today. The sign of a good restaurant is consistency, and Al Paradiso has it. We have eaten there three or five times a year for more than a dozen years, and can depend on quality and service to be top notch.
