We were told that they have nice pizzas and the best pastas. Pasta with lobster source, Vongole, both were very good! 入り口で、パスタは最高、ピザも美味しいよと誘われ、半信半疑で入るも、ロブスターソースのパスタ、ボンゴレ、共に最高でした。ピザは確かに別のお店の方が美味しかったかな

We dined here the first night - learned all the differences between resaurants and cafes - service bright and helpful in choosing dishes - prompt service - bill higher than expected, but due to our learning experience (not restaurant) - check your menu's when ordering - food nicely prepared and served - outdoor facilities but a little cold whilst we... Don't go to this restaurant. Started with a tuna salad, a deep bowl of lettuce and not a lot else virtually no Tuna and Brown lettuce in the salad and When we complained they said it was fresh from the supermarket! The Chinese owners were in the corner being very load, watching u tube and the guy was picking his... More

I don't understand how the reviews here can be so different. We had great service, good food and the cover charge is very much the norm in Venice, not just that restaurant. The waiters were very obliging when we asked to be outside but away from the cigar smoking patron who was eating there as well. The staff joked with... More

We ate on the patio out front and it was lovely. Very attentive waiters, fast service but not too fast and the food quality was excellent! It has an above average large menu for Venice as well. I'm very surprised by the negative comment on here. If they were true, they've done a great job at fixes the issues, we... More

I didn't check this restaurant before we sat down. We were just happy to FINALLY find a place to sit down, that didn't demand that we eat something. For some reason most places in Venice won't serve you if you are only planning on drinking. Even when empty! We were met by a friendly waiter, who brought us a couple... More

Tired, feet hurting and in need of something cold we stopped at the Osteria L'Olandese Volante (Flying Dutchman) mostly because we saw a large group of Germans drinking and laughing it up. The food was average the service was average and the location was average. You can find better and certainly can find worse so we consider ourselves lucky we... More

Staying in Castello

Neighborhood Profile
Castello
Castello is the largest of the six sestieri (districts), and the only one not facing onto the Grand Canal. More than half of Castello is situated within Arsenale, the naval base, which occupies over one-fifth the area of Venice. This gentrified maritime neighborhood feels busy but casual. Castello’s side streets are laid back, with small boats lining canals criss-crossed by laundry. Semiannual exhibitions add a strong artsy current to the Arsenale area. Via Garibaldi in Castello, with its shops and bars, has one of Venice's rare straight and wide boulevards. When a large ship turns around the Lido to enter the Giudecca Canal, the startling sight creates an illusion that it will run aground right on Via Garibaldi! Families treasure Giardini near the island's tip, green with rare trees and grass, and Riva degli Schiavoni is a popular spot for Venetians to take a stroll to watch the sunset.
