Excellent meal with my wife on a Friday night in January. Not cheap, but excellent value for money (especially the wine!). Great food and very friendly staff. Recommended, especially for lovers of seafood.

The restaurant - which has a Bib Gourmand from Michelin had been recommended by our friend and the restaurant is worth visiting if you are ready to pay a little extra for an experience beyond the usual in Venice. After a morning exploring Cannaregio - which is largely inhabited by locals and very picturesque, L'Anice Stellato is excellent dining spot... More

The service and food are excellent. The main courses, appetisers and the recommended white wine are tasty. In addition, the free salmon-cauliflower soup we were offered are very impressive too. Would definitely recommend this place for dining.

I was here on a night of Aqua Alta, and dined as the water outside rose to the door. But the excellent food and service is what I remember most.

After dealing with the craziness that is the main drag of Venice, I longed for a little quieter areas of Venice, and L'Anice Stellato was exactly what I was looking for. Glad we booked in advance as it seems to be quite popular, people were being turned away. While I wonder how many locals eat here, it does have a... More

We enjoyed our dinner here immensely. We were also very impressed that our table was held even though we arrived quite late. The service was excellent. Food was extremely well prepared, flavorful, generous portions, and delicious. This is definitely a place to enjoy on a trip to Venice. Note that for day activity planning, the restaurant is very close to... More

We had dinner here on our first evening in Venice having read about it on various food blogs and checked the Tripadvisor reviews. Whilst it wasn't the best meal we've ever had, the food was good - which is by no means guaranteed in Venice! We had two glasses of prosecco, a bottle of wine, a shared starter, two pasta... More

Throughout its history Venice was a nexus for new ideas, fashions and foods thanks to its international trading relationships. Anice Stellato seeks to replicate this by combining simple, fresh, locally sourced foods with ingredients from other cultures and culinary traditions. I can still taste the delicious carrots tossed in sesame seeds. - See more at: http://padraicino.com/3-days-venice-still-crazy-years/#sthash.y5QJXh3o.dpuf

We like eating, but we are picky about what we eat: excellent then that we have never had any worries where the Anice is concerned! This is unreservedly one of the best places we have eaten at, and we have made an effort to eat at quite a few. This is the third year we have been here, and the... More

The four of us had lunch at Anise Stellato during a week long stay in Venice over the Easter (Pasqua) week. The restaurant is located on the Rio della Sensa in the Cannaregio sestiere (district) - between the Campo dei Mori and the Ghetto. It was not our first visit - we dined there when we were first in Venice... More
