One of the friendliest places in Venice with great Venetian food with interesting twists to favors. From grilled baby octopus with fava bean to saor sardines as starters and onto interesting pastas, including big oil with anchovies. It was all delicious, and made even better by the extremely friendly and welcoming staff. It's in Cannaregio, off the beaten path a... More

This place was fantastic, tucked away in a great little area of Venice. The food was very good & the service had a nice laid back vibe, an awesome meal at the end of our honeymoon, try to get a canal side table.

This place was a bit far from the usual haunts in Venice, but the food was decent. An enjoyable experience, and slightly less touristy than most other places.

This place seems to be among the best in the Cannaregio area with a mentioning in the Michelin guide. The place and the food is clearly more ambitious than most others, and the restaurant is worth visiting if you are ready to pay a little extra for an experience beyond the usual in Venice. On the whole, we were satisfied,... More

Absolutely wonderful experience and the perfect place to end our holiday in Venice. Make sure you book ahead and request a table outside to eat next to the canal! Very quiet calm neighbourhood and the vaporetto stops about a 5 minute walk away. The previous dinners were a little late leaving their table so we were very kindly given complimentary... More

One of our best meals in Italy. Try the scampi in saor. It is really amazing. My daughter is not a shellfish eater so had the lamb encrusted in pistachios which was also good. The rest of us shared the fritto misto which was light and delicious. My only complaint is that they ran out of the lemon tiramisu before... More

We made reservations here based on trip, advisor reviews and we not disappointed. Lovely people and service. It is in Canareggio, off the tourist track. Recommend the seafood carpaccio and the pasta with anchovies and onions. This is a small, low key place, jaut what two jaded and jet lagged New Yorkers needed for the first night here. We were not... This restaurant was recommended by various sources. We wanted something away from the touristy areas and this place is well frequented by the locals, has theorist setting for a romantic dinner by the canal and the staff is great. The chef makes his own limoncello, which wasn't ready when we were there, but instead I had the nocino, a strong... More

Excellent dining spot in the Cannaregio. FIsh and pasta dishes were first rate. Not a big restaurant, and one popular with neighborhood "locals," so reservations a must. A few canal-side tables. Again, this area is the real Venice.

We had dinner here on 24 July 2014 whilst on our honeymoon in Italy. The last 3 nights we spend in Venice, and we tried this restaurant on the advice from the Venice Lonely Planet guide. We are glad we did! We shared two entrees (tuna cubes and grilled octopus on fava beans) - both delicious. One of the best... More
