I visited this restaurant on the basis that it was within spitting distance of my hotel and recommended by the rough guide. The staff were very accommodating and the food was exceptional - so good in fact that I did not even consider going elsewhere for the remainder of my stay (and would seek them out again as and when... 4 of us were staying at the Hotel Ai Mori d'Oriente 100m from this restaurant, and it was recommended by the hotel. We went on the Wednesday and had a great meal with very good local wines. The waiting staff knew their wines and were able to talk us through the options. This was great as I am not as... More

Our friends we were traveling with had heard good things about this restaurant so we thought we would give it a try. Everything was great! The service was one of the best we had while traveling in Italy! From first plates to desserts the food was amazing! Especially the seafood items.

It is always sad to see an old friend fade away. I hate writing this review as I have loved this restaurant and admired the brother and sister team that ran it. We have eaten here once or twice a year for 9 years. Back in the day it was an the sort of restaurant that was full of locals,... More

Excellent meal with my wife on a Friday night in January. Not cheap, but excellent value for money (especially the wine!). Great food and very friendly staff. Recommended, especially for lovers of seafood.

The restaurant - which has a Bib Gourmand from Michelin had been recommended by our friend and the restaurant is worth visiting if you are ready to pay a little extra for an experience beyond the usual in Venice. After a morning exploring Cannaregio - which is largely inhabited by locals and very picturesque, L'Anice Stellato is excellent dining spot... More

The service and food are excellent. The main courses, appetisers and the recommended white wine are tasty. In addition, the free salmon-cauliflower soup we were offered are very impressive too. Would definitely recommend this place for dining.

I was here on a night of Aqua Alta, and dined as the water outside rose to the door. But the excellent food and service is what I remember most.

After dealing with the craziness that is the main drag of Venice, I longed for a little quieter areas of Venice, and L'Anice Stellato was exactly what I was looking for. Glad we booked in advance as it seems to be quite popular, people were being turned away. While I wonder how many locals eat here, it does have a... More
