15 Euros tourist menu on a side canal

We happened upon this place by accident. They had a decent fixed-priced tourist menu. It was enough for a lunch and you cannot be the price of 15 euros in Venice. The place was neat, clean, and the wait staff were very attentive.

We found this quaint and quiet establishment in a picturesque corner of Venice after a Gondola ride through the city. Our table overlooked a canal where gondolas frequently passed. We chose from the very reasonable priced EUR 15 tourist menu. The choices were varied with plenty for vegetarian diners. Our food, which was very tasty, came promptly and we were... More

We had dinner with 4 adults. Starters: 3 plates of prociutto (just some slices of ham thrown on a plate) 1 little bowl of mussels. Main dishes: fried scampi and squid. Sounds good but looked and tasted terrible. 1 bottle of wine (20 euro) and 2 bottles of water. The bill was 173 euro's. While we were there we even... More

Before a recent trip to Venice, we scoured Trip Advisor and our DK guide to pick out some restaurants. To be honest, we needn't have bothered; finding 'local' restaurants in the city was a far better option. Hidden away between St Mark's and Rialto, Sempione almost passed us by. It was early evening and the place was almost empty, but... More

Try to get a window seat and you will have a wonderful and romantic dinner. We didn't encounter any issues with the service or the food. It's a nice tucked away location away from the noisy st. mark's restaurants. My only issues with this dinner was that upon ordering an €18 tuna dish, the waiter insisted we try their new... More

A lovely family run restaurant set by the side of a quiet canal . The menu was varied and the food was excellent . Reasonably priced for the excellent service. We had a bottle of wine a starter, we both had fish for our main course and a dessert and the bill came to 80 Euros

Our tour guide recommended this place for dinner on New Year's Eve. We were grateful for the suggestion given that the better options elsewhere tended to be a fixed price menu from €150 per head upwards. Unfortunately this was average at best. Sure the location is nice and the service was ok, but the food was poor. Lasagne which arrived... More

My husband and I had a delicious lunch, lasagne/ sardines, sat in a window seat watching the gondolas, water taxis passing. Reasonably priced approximately €13 euros each plus drinks.

Nice if you get a window seat. Food poor and staff disinterested. Watch for additional service charge.

The food is only average, but if you can get a table in the canal window, it's worth dining here. Portions are normal for Europe, and nothing extraordinary. The waiters were distant as they typically are in tourist locations, until we made a connection. Once we made a connection to a shared location in Italy, they were very attentive and... More

Staying in San Marco

Neighborhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
