This was undoubtedly the best meal we had during our visit to Venice. Recommended by our hotel (the wonderful Al Ponte Mocenigo) it certainly lived up to our expectations. Every course was delicious and staff were friendly and helpful and happy to explain the intricacies of the dishes on offer. We paid more for inferior food on other nights during... More

If I had ten stars, I'd give them all to La Zucca! We ate here in the nineties, and then visited again in Easter 2007 and Christmas 2009. On our most recent visit, we dined at La Zucca three times - on each occasion the food, the service and the atmosphere were all excellent. .La Zucca is in the student... More

We went to this small restaurant by a canal in April 2014 looking for vegetarian food. The food was very tasty, especially the pumpkin flan (flan di zucca) and fennel with gorgonzola and nuts. The prices were reasonable, especially for Venice. The service was very friendly and willing to explain to foreigners the names of the plates and their composition.... More

Visited in March 2012. Very disappointed as had high expectations based on reviews on this site. Food was bland, small portions and expensive. Atmosphere was strange as restaurant not very well laid out. Maybe it was us but we are not really fussy eaters. Wouldn't really recommend it but each to their own.

We were disappointed by this highly rated restaurant. This restaurant is known for its organically grown vegetables, organic meats and unusual recipes. The prices were high, but the meat was tough and the vegetables and sauces were not exceptional and certainly did not justify the high prices. This restaurant is just average.

We sat ourside for a lovely dinner with our children. The food was great and the waiters very friendly, the prices were very ok: We paid € 70 for all of us including a bottle of wine and dessert!

I went to La Zucca this summer because a friend of mine, a venetian, had recommended it. Best advise ever! If you're vegetarian it's the perfect restaurant for you... If you're not and you're a meat-lover maybe it's not exactly your perfect restaurant. I'm not vegetarian but the food was fantastic.... I had a delicious pumpkin souffle! Uf you want... More

€56 for two of us, 3 courses (but no wine) for lunch, and really imaginative vegetarian food as we'll as great tagliatelle with lamb ragu. Definitely a favourite place to eat in Venice - just not sure they take credit cards.

We found it challenging to find a restaurant in Venice that was not an expensive 3 starred Michelin or horrible touristic type that didn't have 400 menu items, had good food, wine and service. Look no further than La Zucca. It is small, charming, reasonable and offers good service, delicious wines and both vegetarian and some selections with meat. Something... More
