Small busy restaurant with good selection of vegetarian and meat options. Some tables outside. Best to book to avoid disappointment.

This place was recommended to us by local friends. We had to book in order to get a table - and by the time we arrived that evening we could see the restaurant was already booked out. We were recommended to ask for Table Uno - which gives a nice view out over the canal. Apparently the menu changes frequently... More

I enjoyed very much dining at this cozy presumably family run restaurant... The staff was very friendly and helpful, and reccomended some decent wine by the glass as some of us were drinking white wine, other red wine or beer. There were some dishes which are permanently on the menu, and lots of daily's specials. I had a great pumpkin... More

We ate here the night of a terrific hailstorm and the restaurant was under pressure with no outside tables and locals popping in on the off chance that they could get a table. We had booked but without consultation we were seated at a table with two other Brits which was a little embarassing for all of us. The service... More

We dined here on our last night in Venice. We booked the day before which was a good decision as it was fully booked by the time we arrived. We shared a starter, and had a pasta dish each. They were both very tasty, and set us up to share a main. We went for the chicken with a couple... More

Yesterday was my first time at Zucca, after hearing tons of friend talking enthusiastic about it. It's a warm and cozy restaurant close to Campo San Giacomo. We shared Tagliatelle w/broccoli and sun dried tomatos and the Zucca Sformato , their most famous dish, we continued with 3 delightful side dishes . A nice waitress suggested a white wine perfectly... More

La Zucca has been well received lately, with fresh inventive locally inspired food. Our friends, who visit Venice often, have had a number of good meals here, and were eager to share La Zucca with us.  The setting is intimate and quirky. We had a table almost in its own room, with a window out onto the small adjacent canal.... More

La Zucca has excellent food, lot of it is vegetarian, but not all. I have had both lunch and dinner there, and the lunch was maybe the most impressive. We sat outside - they have a few tables - and everything was delicious. They combine tastes that are unusal - and wonderful. The service is not so great though. Quick... More

Firstly book, if you don't you will probably be disappointed, what's more you may never return as the reception you get when they are fully booked is abrupt. We ate here twice and on both occasions saw numerous couples disappointed due to not booking. So the food, very nice, in fact excellent. On first impression it appears to be a... More

Excellent food with an interesting variety of vegetarian dishes. It was very nice not to have to choose from the standard pizza and pasta dishes. I appreciated the creative combination of ingredients in the cooking.
