Outstanding Meals

Knowing the reputation of the restaurant for needing reservations I asked our B&B host to make reservations as soon as we arrived in Venice. Only one lunch reservation was left during our stay. We were excited to have the opportunity and La Zucca did not let us down. The uniqueness and quality of... read more

We were recommended this restaurant by our hotel since it was close and very good. We were lucky to get a table even though it was quite crowded. My wife being a vegetarian was keen to try it out since good vegetarian food is hard to come by in Venice. The food was really good and unique. Not only was... More

We searched for this restaurant the day before we wanted to eat here. Mainly because the reviews on here said it was hard to find, small and reservations were essential. All of this was true, although, as there are 2 sittings 19.00 to 21.00 and 21.00 to 11.00 ish, the 2 small separate rooms were bigger than I expected and... More

There were a few groans from our three teenagers when my wife told them that we were going to a restaurant that specializes in vegetables. Was there another sermon coming about saving the planet? But we were all totally won over the moment we entered this charming place. There is a lot of wood in the decor and it feels... More

What an absolutely charming restaurant. The staff could not have been more welcoming and attentive. This restaurant knows how to do it right. It is a small restaurant with an excellent reputation; so, reservations are a must. We watched as they had to turn people away. The name of the restaurant translates to Pumpkin and they do specialize in all... More

Our hotel staff suggested this place to us. The food was excellent. Pumpkin based dishes are a must try (zucca meaning pumpkin). Although the options for vegetarians were limited the food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Reservation is a must to get a seat since the restaurant is always booked.

Lovely tasty pasta and wine for a very reasonable price. Found this place whilst lost in Venice. Glad to have found it.

Having read the reviews we booked several weeks in advance and were very glad we did as the restaurant was fully booked the evening we were there - a Wednesday in early March - and we saw lots of people being turned away. They have two sittings - 7.30 and 9pm. The restaurant and decor are simple and have a... More
