We were recommended this place by friends, and told to book. We did, and on the night we ate all tables were booked. Very different to the usual fare trotted out by 80 per cent of Venetian restaurants. At least 12 vegetable side plates, to go with five ir six various meat options, but not like you would expect, as... More

We had made reservation for a table outside. When we arrived they showed us a table inside and no other place was possible. We left the place to come not back again!

Do not miss the pumpkin flan! All the food here is excellent. If I could bring this restaurant home, I would. It's also great for vegetarians, but lots of wonderful meat here as well.

My Italian friend who studied in Venice highly recommended this restaurant. As it turned out, it was such a cute restaurant with great food at value prices. <Location> It's an easy walking distance from the shuttle boat stop. It's right by the canal near a bridge, but you don't smell the water even in a hot day. So reserve a... More

We were in Venice three nights and on recommendation from our B&B host ate here the first night. It was so great we went back on our third night - for us, there wasn't even any point in trying another restaurant. Everything we tried was superb. The plate of mixed vegetarian appetizers is unbelievable. Service was excellent. The staff were... More

If you are looking to get far from the Maddening Crowd that Venice can be sometimes look for this wonderful small Osteria. La Zucca is what they are famous for and the delivery with farm freshness. Booking early is necessary as its very small and if its raining reduces the seating dramatically.

We were headed to Venice's Museo di Storia Naturale (which I highly recommend), and being the culinary adventurous travelers that we are, craved something excellent yet a bit different for lunch. La Zucca was as many reviews promised — delicious and innovative subtle twists on Italian classics. Flavorful veg dishes (the kind server took the time to describe to us... More

Great food. Delicious pastas and sauces. Beautiful location at the Ponte Megio. Zucca is Italian for pumpkin. No drawbacks.

We tried this restaurant having read reviews on Trip Advisor. Managed to get a table outside and the food was good. The lasagne was excellent but the portions were quite small. Tasty but you do need to order side dishes too.

Decided to pay a visit after reading the reviews, can describe our experience as no more than nice - was ok. Would we visit again, maybe.
