The best "gelateria" when in Padua. Everything is fresh and home made. The staff is kind, the prices are a bit over the average (that's the minus 1 dot). I definitely recommend "ricotta e fichi" flavor. Do not get pissed off by the inevitable long line you will find outside... it's all parte of the success:-)

I loved the design of the place as well as the ice cream. It was delicious and tasty. The only thing I felt sorry for is that they do not have a place to sit outside.

This is where I go when I want a pure, tasty, creamy ice cream (yeah, it's supposed to be creamy, right?). You can find some "simple" flavours along with some more sophisticated ones (like ricotta cheese and honey or zibibbo grapes from Sicily). Fruit flavours are great as well (peach is one of my favourite). Very kind waitresses. It may... More

to be honest, i take gelato too seriously. I lived in italy for many years and I have certain flavors that I absolutely need. this place was incredible. so many flavors i had not tried, or that are normally too banal and uninteresting to try. Not here. incredible. always a line, but the line always moves very quickly.

Very likely the top ice cream in Padua. We tried chocolate (fondente), yoghurt honey with walnuts, zabaione, pistachio pesto and ricotta honey with figs. Coming back for more.

At least the best I've ever had. Smooth, creamy, good portions, and at a price that is no higher than most other gelaterias. Great dark chocolate, outstanding caramel cheesecake. All the flavors are in Italian, so I don't know everything they have. Hopefully, the website can help before the next visit, and there will be a next visit.

We tasted so many while in Italy, it is hard to distinguish. This Gelateria however, was right near our hotel. A line of locals on the sidewalk let us know this is a local favorite. Far better than the soft serve make your own trend that we found in the piazzas nearby.

We were staying right in the historic centre of Padua but were told that if we wanted the best ice-cream in Padua - nay, the world - this was the place to visit. We were not disappointed. Being off the regular tourist path we had to ask locals how to find La Romana. It was surprising that the locals we... More
