Real Italian atmosphere

This restaurant gets crowded every night with mainly local people. It can get very noisy and a bit chaotic, but yes, this is Italy. I liked the Piza and anitpasti were nice too. Pasta seems ok, but forget about the main dishes. Nice and cooled red wine.

For sure I would recommend Pago Pago not only as the best pizzeria in Padova, but even as a very good restaurant, should you prefer to taste something different (try pasta alla Norma, seafood, or cakes made by Gaetano....)

If you fancy a pizza or informal Italian meal whilst in Padua, this place is worth seeking out. Not far from St Anthony's Basilica, it is wildly popular with locals. The menu has a huge selection of pizzas of different styles - traditional thin crust ones, and some thicker crust ones that were more like the American style. There's also... More

This is a great casual eatery that is always filled with locals (the best sign). Great pizzas and a huge selection, plus great fish and meat dishes and large salads. If you are not sure about which dessert to have then the pannacotta with berries would be my suggestion. Reasonably priced, always busy and can be boisterous, which is what... More

It is a very nice place, right in the centre of the city. The food is good. Most if my collegues had pizza but I ordered penne with some penne vegetables. It was very good. The pizzas were huge. A good choice

This isn't a touristy place: it's full of locals, which is always a good sign. The décor is nothing special, but the service is delightful. The food is plentiful, of very high quality and absurdly reasonable in price (eg €4 for a large pizza margherita). I'd give the pizza 8.5/10 measured against all (the many) pizzas I've ever eaten around... More

The menu did not translate well into English but we did manage to "fluke" a couple of very tasty meals.

Had a little time before our appointment at the Capella Scrovegni and found this place based on the reviews and proximity to the Basilica. The place is at once friendly, clean and comfortable. THe menu is full of both fish and meat items from the region and a fantastic wood burning pizza oven as well as a buffet with all... More

We stopped for lunch on our day trip to Padua. The restaurant was recommended in a travel guide which up to this point had been dead on. The pizza was good, not great. The salad was good. The bread was excellent. It was not very cheap and the service charge was 2,50 Euros per person. The per person which was... More

Excellent pizza made on wooden fired oven and good salads. Nice calm ambient during lunch time. English speaking waiters.
