Great restaurant, friendly staff

Not an obvious place to find but we managed to stumble across it, and glad we did. Really friendly staff, really made you feel appreciated. Food was fantastic, service brilliant with a family friendly environment. If only restaurants like this existed in the uk. Highly recommended.

My cousin and I were looking for something local and near the Gelateria La Romana. In Italian we asked our driver to take us to Via San Pietro and he stopped in front of Trattoria San Pietro and motioned us to its front door. We obliged him and decided it might turn out to be a good meal. It was... More

The staff here are incredibly friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is very quaint. Most importantly, this is by far the best food I have had in Italy so far! The food is fresh, light and delicious. I highly recommend!!

We walked by this restaurant by accident. It's a bit hidden. Everything we tried here was traditional, down to earth but very posh at the same time. The considered wine was light and fit beautifully with our plates (duck and rabbit). The decor is very nice too, lots of wood and many objects to look at. It was the best... More

My Wife and I dined here while staying in the Plaza Hotel in Padua. It is a small restaurant with moderate prices and excellent food and atmosphere. Décor is elegantly simple and not pretentious. Has a good wine list with several inexpensively priced selections, The service was excellent and we were able to order combinations of items not on the... More

Nice cozy spot, off the beaten track. Nothing pretentious here. One waiter does it all and very efficiently! The menu probably changes frequently. We had house pate (pure liver) and onion/zucchini frittata for primi. Second was penne with taleggio and white asparagus and the soup of the day, potato pea. Veal with tiny zucchini and beef liver with polent followed.... More

Very good restaurant, the menu is based on the local traditional dishes cooked in a simple and tasty way. To try the risotto and the baccalà alla vicentina. One suggestion: take the wine in bottle (the house wine could be better). In general a great experience - the service is also very good.

I found this place while wandering Padova on a rainy Monday evening in mid October, looking for a place to eat. Most places in Padova are closed on Mondays. I was relieved just to find someplace that was open! But my immediate friendly greeting from the waiter told me this was a gem in addition to being convenient. Though I... More

This cozy little restaurant is located conveniently near the Plaza Hotel and was recommended to us by the hotel clerk. Our dinner was made with delicious fresh seasonal ingredients and prepared with the utmost care. The maitre d' was very friendly and tried his very hardest to make our dining experience delightful, inspire of the language barrier. I could just... More

Trattoria San Pietro served us really good food, and the service was even better. We don't know if Italians eat antipasti, primi, secondi and dolci every time they go out to a restaurant, but for us that would be impossible, most times. The main reason is that the portions are way too large. In most restaurants, the primi alone is... More
