I found this place while wandering Padova on a rainy Monday evening in mid October, looking for a place to eat. Most places in Padova are closed on Mondays. This cozy little restaurant is located conveniently near the Plaza Hotel and was recommended to us by the hotel clerk. Our dinner was made with delicious fresh seasonal ingredients and prepared with the utmost care. The maitre d' was very friendly and tried his very hardest to make our dining experience delightful, inspire of the language barrier. I could just... More

Trattoria San Pietro served us really good food, and the service was even better. We don't know if Italians eat antipasti, primi, secondi and dolci every time they go out to a restaurant, but for us that would be impossible, most times. The main reason is that the portions are way too large. In most restaurants, the primi alone is... More

Small, but cosy. Very well appointed and reasonably priced. While the menu is not overly adventurous, it has all that you might want in terms of classic trattoria fare. Super service, friendly waiter. Would go back and the good reputation is well deserved!

Very gracious service, excellent food. We enjoyed the polenta and frittata appetizers, both small but very tasty, tagliatelle and penne with carciofi were both very good as was the tagliata. The desserts were fine as well. Would eat here regularly if we lived closer.

My husband and I love this type of restaurant. Can't experience this type of dining in the states. So, we seek out the family owned trattorias that are off the beaten path so to speak. Not always, but it seems the best ones are down a crooked alley or off the main drag. Delicious, fresh dishes usually typical of the... More

We stumbled on this restaurant whilst wending our way around Padova. Our first two choices of restaurants were unfortunately closed. How pleased we were when we were greeted with a smile, shown to a table with spotless china, silver and glassware and lovely handwritten menu. The bean soup was excellent as was the prosciutto and fig. All the mains were... More

This restaurant was recommended to us by the server at the Gelateria Romana around the corner - it was our last meal after a week in Italy. Saving the best for last. My husband had freshly made pasta with mushrooms, which he pronounced as excellent and I had the tenderest veal with tiny slices of zucchini. The server was adorable... More
