Good food, big place, lots to experience

Good variety and quality of food. Pricing reasonable. Decent housewine and attentive waiters. The ambience is aided by large gatherings of locals who make it boisterous. If you aren't a local, that can be part of the entertainment!

I was in Rome and Florence before. This restaurant is one of the best restaurant i have ever been. Meals are so tasty and waiters are so helpful and friendly. Also, restaurant view is so good.

We were a big group on Valentine's day and were dining out, more out of necessity than for leisure. First we were told that pizza was not available and were given a ridiculously expensive set menu . When we started to order we saw pizzas being served to other tables ans questioned this. Arrogantly a waiter said that it was... More

When asking for 14 places we were told ok, but after waiting at long there were still only 12 places at table being responded very rudely. When asking for pizza he said there was only a Valentine menu available, but before ordering we saw that other customers were being served pizza and only after having pointed this out did they... Whilst both living in Padua (2004 -2006) and on subsequent visits (the last one 4 years ago) this had always been our favourite restaurant. On our latest visit to friends still living in Padua we were told that the restaurant seemed to be 'losing it's way' but despite this we decided to give it a try. How right they were!!.... More

Il Ristorante Zairo Prato della Valle, 51, 35123 Padua, Italy This very large pizzeria and restaurant is right off the Prato della Valle, or central park and surprisingly enough there is parking. The menu is gigantic while you can get good Italian food or pizza. Have you ever had beef with tuna sauce? There is a secret. The English Menu... More

Its one of those restaurants that used to be up there and it has a bit of a name for itself . Its been around for a long time and it shows. These days the food is a bit average and behind the times . The waiters are dressed poorly , old style worn out uniforms , the service is... More

We have visited this restaurant before on our Padova city trip earlier this year in April and we surely didn't want to miss it this time, since our previous visit appeared to be a very good experience. Although it was August, outside dining was not possible to the chilly weather conditions. No problem, we reserved a table in the restaurant... More

Large restaurant with lots of tables outside. Service was good, The primi were very nice indeed but the secondi weren't great. A bit expensive as well.

We ate here for dinner one night in July 2014. We came here because it was recommended in the Rick Steves 2014 guidebook. Walking from the Basilica, this restaurant is on the left-side of the Prato della Valle square (which we did not know, so we made the mistake of walking all the way around the square!). Prices for the... More
