We visited based on TA reviews and due to the restaurant's proximity to the train station and Scrovegni Chapel. We arrived a little too early so went for a drink nearby, on our return a nice table had been reserved for us which was very thoughtful. All the reports of good food and hospitality are true. This is a lovely,... More

We went to Al Fungo by TA recommendation and because it was near to the Best Western Galileo Hotel. I called half hour before and on a monday it wasn't so busy. The reception was very good as the host went out of his way to translate the whole menu. We had a worderful meal, the best to date in... More

Al Fungo is hidden away in a side street. From the outside it is forgettable. Inside, the decor is average.......nothing special. But sit down, order a meal and go to heaven. The food is just so good. The atmosphere is genuine Italian. This is not a tourist restaurant. It is where Italians go to eat great food. The service is... More

The food and the entire dinner experience were so good that we went back for lunch the next day. This is a small friendly family-run restaurant with a pleasing rustic atmosphere. For dinner, we had bigoli with duck, tagliatelle with mushrooms, grilled lamb chops, and an excellent wine recommended by the waiter.Cost €65 Every dish was very goog. The next... More
