Looking at this restaurant from outside, you will not beat on it nor you could imagine how nice it is to have a dinner there. I have been working here in Padova for 4 months now, and had no idea, even if very often have walked in front of it. This night the inspiration to test it, and the surprise... More

I was part of a group of 17 adults on an art trip to Padua and were looking for good authentic local cooking. we found it in this wonderful friendly restaurant. it is the sort of place gone out of fashion in Italy, a true family run trattoria, plenty of choice, beautifully cooked (by the mum), they accommodated us with... not a huge menu…the place is rather simple...but a huge quality and service! fresh pasta with meat sauce, horse meat or beef, fresh vegetables…great wines… the cooking is dome by the mother and service by father and son! should i return to padova…definitely my culinary headquarters! aaaahhh…last but not least… value for money is exceptional!

I've never reviewed before but this restaurant warrented it! I was visiting Padova for work and staying nearby. I ate at Al Fungo on my first night and then tried other restaurants in Padova, but Al Fungo was by far the best and I had to return. The menu changes daily, but the food is always superb! Alessandro speaks very... More

The restaurant is close to the fair, but a little bit hidden on a closed-end street. It is nice, the typical Italian Trattoria. It can improve a bit by replacing the cool-white bulbs that are disturbing the nice interior. The service is very good, all the dishes are well-explained and detailed by the waiter. We had two local dishes, one... More

We discovered this wonderful trattoria because it is situated next to our hotel. The food was superb, the service was superb and the pricing was quite affordable. A lovely eating venue which we visited many times during our stay in Padua.

An excellent restaurant, with very helpful family owners who explained every detail of the menu. For those who love mushrooms, a great little place!

We only found this place from Tripadvisor as it is hidden away from the main road. It is a family run business and mama makes all the food fresh. The menu changes on a daily basis to cater for the locals. There is plenty of choice for vegetarians and the tagliatelle with mushrooms and lemon comes highly recommended. The prosecco... More

The lunch offerings were limited but all the choices were good. We both had a dish with mushrooms (beef/polenta/mushrooms and pasta with porcini mushrooms), but none of the other dishes did have mushrooms. The other patrons were locals. We sat outside. The service was friendly and prompt. I think it is a little too expensive for students, though. A little... More

A lovely funky restaurant--it was almost entirely inhabited by locals, a number of which seemed to be University students. Lots of mushroom choices (not surprisingly) but there are meat courses as well. Very inexpensive. Slightly out of the way about a mile east of the train station, one probably would need to use a cab (which, incidentally, seem very expensive... More
