Lots of Meat!

Worth every penny! I am pretty cheap, and this restaurant is not. But Unlike everywhere else I've eaten in Italy, every dish was worth every penny for a weekend trip to a beautiful city only 30min train from Venice. Meat is their specialty and it is the best steak I've ever tasted. They cook it... read more

There are still some times some surprises after living 5 years in Italy and traveling, tasting and trying always new things. If you are here get Grigliata mista which is if I'm not mistaen is surved directly from the middle of the restaurant by the owner who cut the fresh meet and puts in a BURNING plate! Very fresh and... As we walked in, we were greeted with a happy smile from the gentleman carving meat in a trolley. As we approached we saw two large fillets and other meats to one side; he brandished an enormous carving knife as he welcomed us in, and we were given a table without delay. The menu seemed somewhat superfluous - everyone seemed... More

Vecchio Falconiere serves a lot of typical Italian dishes, and does them very well, but it is particularly known for its wonderful mixed beef extravaganza that is cooked on hot plates on a trolley in view of the table. Having had the selection of meats and the process explained to us by the helpful (English speaking) owner I was duly... More

If you are in Padova and want to taste some real good food then try this. The pasta is all freshly home made and served in an genuine way, also the risotto is very good. But I visited this restaurant just for the meat "experience". The speciality of this restaurant is the meat, if you are a meat lover then... More

We enjoyed several superb dinners at this restaurant during our visit to Padua. The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is a local favorite! We selected it on our first evening after reading the menu and seeing the attractive interior. It was so outstanding, we dined there all four nights. A British businessman who had worked... More

The food is excellent, their choice is large and the items are carefully prepared and impressive. Special recommendations: The risotto is served from within a full wheel of parmesan, and the platter of meat that cooks on your plate in front of you is amazing! I have one problem with this place which unfortunetly turned the night sour, which is... More

First thing, this place is difficult to find! But completely worth it once we arrived! My husband and I walked in and were surrounded by only Italians-a very good sign. The owner was very friendly and explained everything to us since they didn't have an English menu. And we just told him to go for it and bring us his... More
