Great Meal

Try to ask waiter about the menu. Ask him about the ingredients, so, you will know exactly what are you eating. It's important, because some meals are strange for foreigners. But, taste is always fantastic. A new experience out of home.

The owner helped choose a meal that was perfect for a vegetarian. He suggested the asparagus risotto (served in a hollowed Parmesan bowl) and then grilled vegetables. My husband loves meat so he was very happy with his choices. The bill was reasonable, the wine excellent, the staff was professional and helpful..the owner is a joy.

The meat is amazing, so fresh that they come and show you it before ordering to wet your appetite. The service is poor and the owner can be quite abrupt but if you're after a melt in your mouth Fiorentina this is the right place!

We have visited this restaurant many times over the years. Our daughter and husband went there on their honeymoon too. The owner was so kind to them, he let her cook a few meals!

I made the mistake of just seeing the high rating for this place and putting it on our list. It was our first stop in Italy and were were prepared for some FRESH PASTA! Intimidated by the Italian menu, we were unsure what to order when the owner came over and informed us that they were a "meat" place (which... More

Worth every penny! I am pretty cheap, and this restaurant is not. But Unlike everywhere else I've eaten in Italy, every dish was worth every penny for a weekend trip to a beautiful city only 30min train from Venice. Meat is their specialty and it is the best steak I've ever tasted. They cook it on the plate in the... More

There are still some times some surprises after living 5 years in Italy and traveling, tasting and trying always new things. If you are here get Grigliata mista which is if I'm not mistaen is surved directly from the middle of the restaurant by the owner who cut the fresh meet and puts in a BURNING plate! Very fresh and... As we walked in, we were greeted with a happy smile from the gentleman carving meat in a trolley. As we approached we saw two large fillets and other meats to one side; he brandished an enormous carving knife as he welcomed us in, and we were given a table without delay. The menu seemed somewhat superfluous - everyone seemed... More

Vecchio Falconiere serves a lot of typical Italian dishes, and does them very well, but it is particularly known for its wonderful mixed beef extravaganza that is cooked on hot plates on a trolley in view of the table. Having had the selection of meats and the process explained to us by the helpful (English speaking) owner I was duly... More
