Pleasantly surprised!

Great value for money! The onion soup was the best! Made of great ingredients and felt like having real food. I also ordered a vegetarian pasta and it was so fresh. Highly recommended, do book ahead. It's packed for lunch

This restaurant will become my favourite one in Courmayeur slopes. It’s cosy, lovely decorated, very friendly, has an amazing view and an efficient and nice staff. Food is simply EXCELLENT. I tried their polpette with vegetables and potatoes and it was delicious, my boyfriend had their “anti-mc” burger and it was simply perfect, then we had pannacotta and a strudel,... More

This centrally located restaurant is perfect for lunch. Besides having possibly the best hot chocolate we have ever had, the pasta dishes were outstanding. Helpful and friendly staff made us feel very welcome. The upstairs is a pizza and pasta kind of bistro and the downstairs is more gourmet with a more extended menu. There are great views and tables... More

This was the best mountain restaurant we tried in the Courmayeur ski area. We went to the upstairs bistro section. Excellent friendly service, great menu, nice wine. Can't fault it. Loved the quirky baskets to put your ski gear in, suspended from the ceiling on pulleys. Very reasonable for this standard of mountain food. Excellent soups, especially the French onion,... More

La Chaumiere has a busy skiers' bistro upstairs and downstairs a glamorous fine dining restaurant. The food at both cannot be faulted: upstairs you get hearty mountain fare (soups, pizza, pasta dishes, wonderful charcuterie and local cheeses) in a cosy wood-panelled restaurant, downstairs it is all glass and stone, huge windows and exquisite dishes: I had roast venison so tender... We loved this place. Finished every day here with a beer and prosecco. The food was delicious and the service first class. Recommended to everyone in our hotel. The fur rugs on the deck chairs made it extra cosy.

We had lunch downstairs and were very impressed by the quality of the food, service and atmosphere. Excellent flavours of the food and the meat was cooked to perfection. We were staying at Argentiere and had come to Courmayeur for just one day. We made the decision to come back again the next day so we could eat in this... More

Took the lift up the restaurant in the evening. Nice walk to the restaurant on the slope. The restaurant is very modern and very bright, which doesn't make it very cozy. There was only 3 different starters, primis, secondis etc to choose between, which is a rather limited selection. This can be fine, but you then expect really tasty courses.... More

We ate in the top bistro section of this restaurant perched in an idyllic location on the slopes. We liked it so much the first time when we managed to get an outside table that we booked for another lunch. We were promised the private room with the big window but on arrival, didn't get it as our uber friendly... More

La chaumiere is on the slopes. You can get there by foot. The top floor is a family friendly restaurant with pizza, hamburgers and roast chicken etc. It is well worth booking a table on the terrace if its sunny (and warmish). The ground floor is the more sophisticated restaurant with amazing food and views. They also have outdoor tables... More
