Beautiful setting. Fantastic food (ravioli della nonna e risotto alla Valsostana ). Only accessible by ski's for lunch and with a snow cat in the evenings. Beautiful setting, wonderful food, expensive and terrible service. Given the cost of the snow cat a better deal at lunch than for supper.

The trip uphill on the small winding road is definitely worth it already just for the breathtaking view that you have from this place. Monte Bianco glacier is almost a stone throw from here and once you'll look at it you are going to feel quite small ...... no matter how much you just ate in the restaurant.... We had... More

This is an institution. Have been to it multiple times, and it is a really great place. Very hard to keep the standard at this level for so long. Downstairs is quite interesting. Had the smoked trout, and an infinite variety of pasta's. Has to be experienced if you are driving through to France and/or skiing in winter.

A good choice for a long lunch....great food, great location. We ate inside due to heavy snowfall but have eaten on the terrace on previous occasions where the view is beautiful. The upstairs dining area is very relaxed and comfortable and this is one of the best mountain restaurants Courmayeur has to offer...

My friend and I ate here twice and enjoyed it! Staff was friendly and correct. It was not exactly high season so the atmosphere was relaxed. There was lots of space, so i guess in high season you would never really would get the feeling the place is packed. The food was good, price a little elevated, but correct for... More

I had read about this place and stumbled on it by chance and at the perfect time for our lunch break. The restaurant is very nicely decorated, great views all around from the 1st floor dining room. Efficient, friendly service. Food was excellent, regional specialties are a must.

Run by Ephraim and his wife Eleanor who acts as Maitress D, this is efficient & friendly with highly competent cooking sometimes reaching star status. Ace choices: all pasta, especially ravioloi with sage & butter, carpaccio the best in Courmayeur, and steak al ferri. If vegetable flan is on offer, choose it. Puddings and house wine not so clever. Sadly... More

A group of 4 of us went to La Grolla both for lunch and dinner. Both meals were excellent value and had superb service. Good value food well cooked and well served. Local wine by the jug is excellent and no need to pay €30 for a bottle of French wine.
